4 BUFFER SEEDING
THIS SEED IS FOR ALL OTHER AREAS ABOVE THE NORMAL POOL ELEVATION AND ARE NOT PART OF THE STRUCTURE & CHANNEL SEEDING. NO MULCH ON THIS AREA.THE PREPARATION FOR THIS AREA SHALL INCLUDE THE GRADING TO A UNIFORM SURFACE OF THE 10:1 SAFETY BENCH AROUND THE PERIMETER OF THE POOL AREA.ONLY THE DISTURBED PORTIONS OF THE BUFFER AREA WILL BE SEEDED AND WILL BE MEASURED FOR FINAL PAYMENT. QUANTITY SHOWN REFLECTS THE AREA WITHIN THE
EASEMENT BOUNDAY.
5 MOBILIZATION/DEMOBILIZATIONTHIS WORK SHALL INCLUDE THE MOBILIZATION AND DEMOBILIZATION OF THE CONTRACTOR'S FORCES AND EQUIPMENT FOR PERFORMING THE WORK UNDER THE CONTRACT. ANY
INSTALLATION OF THE SILT FENCE THROUGH ANY AREA SHALL BE CONSIDERED INCIDENTAL TO THIS ITEM. THE USE OF THE TEMPORARYCONSTRUCTION ACCESS SHALL INCLUDE DEEP TILLAGE OF THE AREA ONCE CONSTRUCTION IS COMPLETE AND IS CONSIDERED INCIDENTAL TO THIS ITEM.
6 DRAINAGE TILE INVESTIGATION AND REMOVALTHIS ITEM WILL CONSIST OF THE EXPLORATORY EXCAVATIONS REQUIRED TO LOCATE AND ABANDON THE TILES SHOWN ON THE PLANS. THIS IS FULL COMPENSATIONFOR THE EXCAVATION, BACKFILLING, ABANDONMENT AND REMOVAL OF THE TILES WITHIN THE PERMANENT EASEMENT BOUNDARY.
7 STEEL SHEET PILESHEET PILING SHALL BE AS DETAILED IN THE PLANS, BENDS AND DEFLECTIONS SHALL BE MADE BY PREFABRICATED PIECES SPECIFICALLY MADE FOR A LOCATION. ANYADDITIONAL LENGTH NECESSARY TO MEET ANGLES, CONSTRUCTION TOLERANCES, ETC. SHALL BE INCIDENTAL TO THE OVERALL CONSTRUCTION. THE TOTAL QUANTITY SHOWN ON SHEET 7.1IS FIGURED AFTER TRIMMING THE SHEET PILE TO MATCH THE SLOPES ON THE SIDES, THE PAID AMOUNT IS THE AREA AFTER TRIMMING TO FINAL ELEVATIONS AND SLOPES.
8 EXCAVATION, EARTH FILLTHIS IS FULL COMPENSATION FOR THE EXCAVATION REQUIRED FOR THE POOL AREA, FOR THE DIKE/BERM (5,640 CY), SUBMERGED BERMS (500 CY),CORE TRENCH (960 CY), OUTLET CHANNEL, STILLING BASIN, BORROW AREA AND OTHER CHANNELS REQUIRED TO OUTLET DRAIN TILES. THIS IS ALSO COMPENSATION TO CONSTRUCTTHE EMBANKMENT BERM (DIKE) INCLUDING THE CLAY CORE TRENCH, STILLING BASIN AND OUTLET CHANNEL TO THE SLOPES AND ELEVATIONS DETAILED ON THE PLANS. THE CONTRACTOR
SHALL PROVIDE FOR A MINIMUM ALLOWABLE SETTLEMENT OF 5% OF THE TOTAL FILL DEPTH WHEN CONSTRUCTING THE BERM. THIS ADDITIONAL QUANTITY OF MATERIAL IS NOT FIGUREDINTO THE BID QUANTITY. EXCESS MATERIAL FROM OTHER EXCAVATIONS CAN BE USED OR WASTED HERE TO BUILD SLOPES OUTSIDE OF THE CORE. THIS QUANTITY ASSUMED A 35%

6. STRUCTURAL STEEL SHALL BE FABRICATED AND ERECTED IN ACCORDING WITH THE LATESTSPECIFICATION OF AISC. FABRICATOR SHALL SUBMIT SHOP DRAWINGS. FABRICATE AFTERENGINEERS REVIEW.
7. DEFLECTIONS SHALL BE MADE IN FABRICATED PIECES AND STILL CONFORM TO THE DIMENSIONSGIVEN.
8. IT IS THE CONTRACTORS RESPONSIBILITY TO DETERMINE ALLOWABLE CONSTRUCTION LIVE LOADS.
9. PROVIDE ALL NECESSARY TEMPORARY BRACING, SHORING, GUYING OR OTHER MEANS TO AVOIDEXCESSIVE STRESSES AND TO HOLD STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS IN PLACE DURING CONSTRUCTION.
