Cultural Heritage and Faculty of Arts at the

Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra

would like to invite domestic and foreign scientists to

the international scientific conference “Changes of

the northern part of the Middle Danube region and its

vicinity at the turn of Antiquity and the Middle Ages”

on April 25 – 26, 2017. This conference is organised

within the VEGA project under grant number

1/0468/15.

Scope of the conference

The given topic creates opportunities to present

research in the following scientific areas:

archaeology, history, philology, military studies,

Slavistics, and literary science. The time range of the

conference topic includes the period of the 3rd – 11th

century.

Suggested topics to be discussed at the conference:

1. Archaeological evidence or analyses concerning

material culture;

2. Historical figures, events, and late antique or early

medieval historians;

3. Studies on Slavic literature, languages, culture, and

history;

4. Research into the history of language and historical

studies of literary works;

5. Phenomena of warfare from strategy and tactics to

arms and armour.

domácich i zahraničných vedcov na medzinárodnú

vedeckú konferenciu „Premeny severnej časti

stredodunajského priestoru a jeho okolia na prelome

antiky a stredoveku“ v dňoch 25. – 26. apríla 2017.

Konferencia je organizovaná v rámci projektu VEGA

č. 1/0468/15.

Zameranie konferencie

Téma konferencie vytvára prí ležitosť na

prezentovanie výskumu v nasledujúcich vedeckých

oblastiach: archeológia, história, filológia, vojenstvo,

slavistika a literárna veda. Časové rozpätie

konferenčnej témy zahŕňa obdobie od 3. do 11.

storočia.

Navrhnuté témy, s ktorými by sa mali účastníci

zaoberať na konferencii:

1. Archeologické objavy a analýzy týkajúce sa

materiálnej kultúry;

2. Historické postavy, udalosti a neskoroantickí či

včasnostredovekí historici;

3. Štúdium slovanskej literatúry, jazykov, kultúry a

histórie;

4. Výskum histórie jazyka a historické štúdie

literárnych diel;

5. Fenomény vojenstva od stratégie a taktiky po

zbrane a ochranný výstroj.

The conference languages

Publication of abstracts and papers

All abstracts of conference papers will be published

in the proceedings. Then all conference papers will be

considered for publication in the international

scientific jounal Konštantínove listy (Constantine’s

Letters, ISSN 1337-8740) which is listed in the Scopus

database.

Conference fee

30 EUR

The fee covers publishing of the proceedings of

abstracts, lunches and refreshments for participants

and other minor conference expenditures.

The aforementioned fee does not cover travel and

accommodation expenditures of the conference

participants.

Application for the conference

Although an application form also contains the

payment requirements, the payment of the

conference fee should only be made after attendance

of the particular applicant at the aforementioned

event is confirmed by organisers (by email) of the

conference.

Organisers of the conference reserve the right to

accept or refuse a conference application.

Deadline for the submission of applications and

payments of the conference fee

Programme of the conference

The programme will be drawn up during the first two

weeks of April 2017 and then sent to participants

along with an application concerning an excursion

and lunches.

Slovanské jazyky a angličtina

Publikovanie abstraktov a príspevkov

Všetky abstrakty konferenčných príspevkoch budú

publikované v zborníku. Taktiež budú všetky

konferenčné príspevky posúdené pre publikovanie v

medzinárodnom vedeckom časopise Konštantínove

listy (Constantine’s Letters, ISSN 1337-8740), ktorý je

indexovaný v databáze Scopus.

Konferenčný poplatok

30 EUR

Poplatok zahŕňa vydanie zborníka abstraktov, obedy

a občerstvenie pre účastníkov a iné menšie

konferenčné výdavky.

Vyššie spomenutý poplatok nezahŕňa cestovné a

ubytovacie výdavky účastníkov konferencie.

Prihláška na konferenciu

Hoci tlačivo prihlášky obsahuje tiež platobné

náležitosti, samotná platba konferenčného poplatku

musí byť uskutočnená až potom, ako organizátori

konferencie potvrdia (emailom) účasť konkrétneho

žiadateľa o zúčastnenie sa na vyššie spomenutom

podujatí.

Organizátori konferencie si vyhradzujú právo

akceptovať, respektíve odmietnuť prihlášku na

konferenciu.

Program bude vytvorený počas prvých dvoch

týždňov apríla 2017 a potom poslaný účastníkom
