What is bikepacking? - introduction to bikepacking microadventure / Adam Klimek, photographer, adventure blogger, bikepacker, Poland

Bikepacking is an idea, which has grown on the wave of revolve in '70s. Desire of unfettered freedom combined bicycle with luggage, which contents allows to be independent from tourist infrastructure. Important feature for this concept is to fasten the baggage the way to keep the bike drivability, even on demanding terrain. For better result, everything what is needed should be directly connected to bike, in special bag under the saddle, under the handlebar and in specially made triangle bag for bike frame. Bikepacking fans enjoy the ride on a long distances as well as independence taken from modern, very light and compact tourist equipment.

Christoph Rapp/ International Retail Manager, ISPO Team, Germany Christoph has been working as independent business consultant, in the Fitness Industry with Amway Europe, which included the development of an Online Consumer Community, and as Account Director Audi at WWP Spain, overseeing the Sponsorship of Audi for Real Madrid as well as FC Barcelona which also involved promoting the brands in China. In July 2015 he joined the ISPO Team as International Retail Manager.

Paweł Bieniek / The Nets, Poland Paweł is an expert on internet marketing technologies. In digital industry from 18 years. Perfectionist. IT specialist interested in management. His first business started being in secondary school. Still searching for niches, which can be covered. Fan of challenges and sport. He is co-owner of one of the biggest running website in Poland – treningbiegacza.pl. He gathered the experience working on digital projects for brands like: Unilever, Lafarge, Mitsubishi, Herbapol, Knorr, Ikea, Integer, Tchibo, Ruch, LuxMed, Aviva, D&B, Samsung, Śnieżka, PPS, Porsche Inter Auto, Škoda, Medela, Qubus Hotel.

Fermin Davies / SPORTMAS Barcelona, Spain Chief Project Officer (CPO) in Digital Transformation and Advisory Board Member in Sportmas since 2016. With 28 years of experience in Business Value Model development, Davies has developed his career in different environments as Healthcare turnkey construction, Branding, Retail, Internet platforms, International trade, Software companies. Louise Leuchtenberger / Foursource, Germany Louise Amélie Leuchtenberger joined the founding team of FOURSOURCE as Head of Marketing & PR at an early stage. She worked in the fashion and sportswear business for several years at X-BIONIC & X-SOCKS and contributes her know-how in on- & offline marketing, growth, content management, and public relations. Originally she started her career in the automotive industry and is inspired by innovative technology. Louise holds a B.A. from the University of Brighton.

Philipp Gruentker / Foursource, Germany Philipp Grüntker (37) in the fashion industry for more than 19 years, has profound experience in buying, sales and category management. I worked for various companies such as Conley's, Brands4friends, Studio Moderna Fashion Group, Bigbrands.cz and Wayfair.com. I did my apprenticeship at Sport Scheck Munich and have a degree in Textile Management (BTE) from Nagold.

Dorota Kabała/ We design for physical culture, Poland Dorota designs sport equipment. She runs a studio, We design for physical culture, which works on fields of sport, recreation, rehabilitation. Awarded with nominations to Design Alive Awards 2014 and 2016 and finalist of Dobry Wzór Award 2016 (design for Nobile Kiteboarding). Projects author and co-author for National Stadium, SARP/Municipal City of Warsaw, Echo Investmens. Gives lectures during San Francisco Design Week, Outdoor Friedrichshafen, ESDI Rio de Janeiro. Fan of surfing, previously member of Polish National Team in synchronized swimming for many years.

Witold Kowalski / WK Profit Consulting, Poland Owner of WK Profit Consulting, company, which operates as an independent consulter for Small-Medium-Enterprises and international corporations. Witold has 20 years of experience as director of Nike Poland and Telepizza Poland, he is a business mentor, who helps company's owners and managing directors to increase the enterprises' profits. Witold is also an owner of a portal with recommendations of tourist attractions in Europe, North America and China – WK Travel Inspirations.

Jakub Dyrlico / GORE-TEX®, Poland Jakub is related to tourism industry from the begging of his worklife. From 10years he has been representing GORE-TEX® in Poland. Kim Scholze / Community Manager Outdoor, ISPO Munich & OutDoor by ISPO, Germany Working in the industry for about 20 years, starting as a Journalist, being a Rep for various brands, developing collections as well as strategy for urban skate streetwear, being head of her own agency for events and PR in sustainability now being in the heart of the industry as the Community Manager for outdoor at ISPO and OutDoor by ISPO. As a working mum of three Kids, her expertise is complex: from outdoor and snow sports over CSR to creating a buzz for women in leading positions in the sporting goods industry.

Giacomo Bastonero / Ferrino, Italy Sales Manager for FERRINO for around 20 countries all around the world including Poland. Runner, Alpinist and outdoor enthusiast in the free time, he's trying to bring FERRINO's history and philosophy in the Polish market, where he see a huge potential considering the long mountaineering and outdoor tradition of the polish people. “The cooperation with the K2 National Polish winter expedition is just the beginning of the FERRINO presence in the Polish market, where we'll focus our efforts in the next years”.

Jerzy Osika / Promedia, Poland Sales and marketing expert, especially specialized in exhibition marketing. Regularly visits several dozen exhibitions in Europe, Asia, North and South America. Łukasz Długowski / journalist, influencer, organiser of microadventures, Poland Łukasz Długowski is a journalist, traveler, influencer. The author of a book: "Mikrowyprawy w wielkim mieście” (Micro-adventures in a big city), in which he encourages to find the time for adventure in daily routine. He runs traveler program about micro-adventures in "Dzień dobry TVN" and "Travel Channel". His adventures are documented on Facebook and Insta: microadventures.

Adam Klimek / photographer, adventure blogger, bikepacker, Poland Photographer, traveler, “trouble solver”. Adam works in his own studio, where he runs commercial projects for many well-known brands. His photos and bikepacking stories are published in the mainstream bike- and traveler- magazines world-wide.

Piotr Turkot / Polish Outdoor Group, Poland Piotr has been part of the outdoor industry over 15 years. As publisher of first, polish magazine and web portal for outdoor segment – 4outdoor.pl, as co-creator of the most popular hiking web portal – wspinanie.pl He is also the organizer of the Cracow Mountain Festival running for 13 years. Founder and CEO of Polish Outdoor Group. His free time is spent on hiking and other outdoor activities.

Arkadiusz Walus / Walus Marketing Management, Poland Born in Zabrze, raised in Cracow, working in Warsaw. Passionate about marketing. After 26 years working in his own company in electronic industry he decided to change his life and has started to organize completely new B2C event in Poland for ski and bike industries. “SNOW EXPO –not only for skiers” and “BIKE EXPO – National Cycling Test”. Both of them take place on PGE National Stadium in Warsaw and grow dynamically. All his free time Arek spends on a bike, but he is not forgetting about football and skis.

Ireneusz Miśkowiec / Veloprofit, Polska During over 20-years of his business carrier he has collected whole range of experiences, and now he shares his knowledge with others. Graduated the Wrocław University of Economics, specialist in strategic management. Business development manager, specialist in introducing to the market the premium brands like Yoskine and BMC among others. Looking at the business widely and strategically allows him to see more and deeper understand market processes. Active fan of cycling, from 5 years promotes e-bikes in Poland.

The author of joining two biggest running concepts in the country creating the strategy and brand image. From 6 years working in Sklep Biegacza, currently focuses on supporting the promotion of physical activities within society.

Anna Wróblewska / PROJEKT 77, Poland Owner of PR and social media agency, member of Polish Outdoor Group. Specialized in promotion of sports and outdoor brands in traditional and online media. Offers the consulting services and trainings. Creates a long-term communication strategies. From 15 years has been involved in media, cooperated with brands like: Polartec, Alpinus, Campus, The North Face, Salewa, Regatta, Dare 2b. She shares her wide experience with students of Higher School of Banking in Bydgoszcz and Toruń, where she runs lectures from PR and PR crises management.

Krzysztof Szwedzik / Sklep Biegacza, Poland Marathoner and long distance runner, who in 2013 ran alone through the whole Warmia and Mazury region in 40days, running over 1000km (www.mazurytour.pl). He took part in over 30 marathons in Poland and abroad (in New York, Berlin, London, Paris, Athens, Rome, Vienna, Barcelona among others), the same as few triathlons. He was founder and main organizer of few editions of legendary triathlons competitions – Winiec Triathlon. From 7years works as customer assistant in Sklep Biegacza.

Paweł Matysiak / Sklep Biegacza, Poland Customer assistant in Sklep Biegacza and author of a blog: pawelbiega.pl – the biggest compendium of knowledge about running shoes. When he runs he prefers asphalt and light trail. His current marathons number is 25, but this is not his last word. Few times also took part in mountain ultra trail, but daily running through the city is what he likes the most.

Edyta Lewandowska, E.L.ite Runners Edyta runs professionally over 15 years. Polish Champion in ultra-run and mountain marathon has 31 medals of Polish Championships including eight gold, and Europe Masters vice-championship in mountain run. She was Polish representative on European Championship in cross-country in Germany and Bolder relay race in USA among others. Besides her running carrier she is a trainer, running both individual- and group trainings.
