Our four campuses in the North West of England provide the perfect setting for a diverse range of events, from committee meetings or training sessions to residential retreats and international conferences.

We value and support our place in the community and customer satisfaction is at the heart of our provision. We have over 50 years of experience in the hospitality industry.

Ambleside

A jewel in the Lake District’s crown

This quiet little town hides a wealth of things to see and do in the heart of one of the world’s most well-known national parks – the Lake District.

On campus you will find a range of facilities including a library, halls of residence and The Barn, which is a flexible space with social and meeting areas including a small café. This picturesque town has everything you would expect from a campus set among the fells of the Lake District.

• There are 80 single study bedrooms available during the summer, with 70 new ensuite rooms available 2017.

• Flexi-meeting rooms.

• Spacious foyer area - ideal for exhibitions and dining.

• All areas are fully accessible for wheelchair users. Hearing-aid loops available.

Carlisle

City of the LakesWith a bustling city centre, beautiful surroundings and a wealth of history, Carlisle is a fantastic place to live and visit. Home to a castle which has dominated for nine centuries as well as an impressive cathedral, this city is rich in both culture and heritage. The city is on the West Coast main line and M6 motorway. The University has two campuses located in Carlisle. Fusehill Street campus

A ten minute walk from the railway or bus station and set on the grounds of a previous maternity and wartime military hospital, Fusehill Street is the university’s second largest campus.

Facilities include the sports centre and gym, halls of residence, Skiddaw dining hall, Calva bar, a chapel and a modern Learning Gateway building ideal for conferences and events.

Brampton Road campus

Our Brampton Road campus is less than a ten minute walk from the city centre. The campus contains halls of residence, a theatre with two performance spaces, well-equipped studio spaces and The Works; an eatery which serves up both hot meals and cold snacks.

• Two lecture theatres seating up to 141 delegates.

• Ten flexi-meeting rooms, each seating up to 32 delegates.

• Each room features a computer, projector, OHP, interactive white-board and flipchart stand.

• Spacious foyer area ideal for exhibition space and dining.

• Single ensuite accommodation for up to 85 delegates at Fusehill Street and 37 ensuite rooms at Brampton Road during the summer. There are a further 76 standard rooms at Brampton Road.

• Catered and self-catered services available.

• All areas within the Learning Gateway are fully accessible for wheelchair users. Hearing-aid loops available.

Lancaster

One of the UK’s 11 heritage citiesLancaster is a vibrant, historic heritage city, ideally located just south of the Lake District and close to the Morecambe Bay coastline. The city is on the West Coast main line and M6 motorway. Our Lancaster campus is a ten minute walk from the city centre with a wide variety of facilities and services readily available including halls of residence, a sports centre, gym and a chapel. View! offers dining with a panoramic vista of Morecambe Bay coastline and the Lake District fells.

Exceptional catering, served by our dedicated teams at each campus will complement your event.Our caterers use regional suppliers for all fresh produce, thereby supporting the local economy, reducing food miles and carbon footprint. From small lunches to impressive gala dinners for up to 200, the University’s catering team is happy to create menus based on your requirements, themes, special diets and preferences.
