Communication & Design. It also provides
a robust inter-disciplinary & Intercultural

and educators to share and discuss the
most recent innovations, trends, and
opportunities as well as throw light on the
challenges and solutions in the fields of
media, journalism, communication, films
and design. The primary goal of ICMCD is to
encourage academicians, researcher and
scholars to meet and exchange ideas and

stimulating respectful dialogue.
ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

The world we live in is mediated by symbols, languages, technologies, and
media. The perception of reality is not objectively mirrored by our cognitive
processes and artefacts, but it is a negotiation among reality and
languages. This is why communication is so crucial in all aspects of our
lives. In this conference, we will explore the cognitive, emotional, and social
processes involved in communication and, in particular, in the social
communication area. The new keywords integrate the theme of Media,
Communication and Design with a look at how communication,
technologies, digital media have contributed to defining the new scenarios
and how they will contribute to future scenarios. The conference will
deliberate, discuss and analyse the issues related to Media,
Communication & Design.
INTERNATIONAL | INTERCULTURAL | INTERDISCIPLINARY
Prospective authors are kindly encouraged to contribute to and help shape
the conference through submissions of their research papers, articles,
working papers and review papers. Also, high quality research
contributions describing original and unpublished results of conceptual,
constructive, empirical, experimental, or theoretical work in all areas of
Media, Communication & Design are cordially invited for presentation at
the conference.
The themes of the conference aiming for the exchange of information on
research, development, and applications of Media, Communication, Social
Media, Visual Communication and Design, Integrated Marketing
Communication, Communication Education, Health Communication,

The awards are given to the most outstanding researchers of the
conference under below two categories.
A) The overall best presentation award
This award will be provided for the most outstanding presentation of the
entire conference.
B) The best student presentation award
Ÿ The Best Student Presentation Award will be given to the most
outstanding presentation presented by a participant who has registered
under the student category. Undergraduates, Master students will be
considered under this category
*A committee of academicians and industry experts would judge the paper
and decide on the awards

The acceptable word range for the abstract is 250 – 300 words. We
encourage academicians, media practitioner and researcher to send
complete abstract, which is a summary of a paper’s substance, including its
background, purpose, methodology, results, and conclusion, with five
keywords at the end of the abstract. Please send in a brief biography
together with the abstract.Participants should send their abstracts (in .doc
or .docx file format).

In view of the long-term impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, the organising
committee has decided to hold ICMCD in fully-virtual conference.
Delegates will be able to attend conference remotely through webinars. All
keynotes, parallel oral sessions, discussions and other activities will be
offered in a streaming online. The access to the ICMCD online platform will
be offered to all the registered attendees.
Conference Publication
All accepted papers for the International Conference on Media,
Communication & Design (ICMCD-2021) will be published in the
Conference Proceedings Book with an ISBN Number.
