Los participantes españoles, deberán hacerllegar sus inscripciones a la Federación Hípi-ca Española, C/ Monte Esquinza, 28 3º Izda -28010 Madrid, antes de las 12 horas del LU-NES 7 DE JULIO 2008.

Los participantes españoles deberán dirigir ala FHE su solicitud de autorización para parti-cipar en este concurso de acuerdo con la nor-mativa de la Federación Hípica Española.

NB: Las renuncias posteriores a la fecha se-ñalada para las Matrículas Definitivas o la nopresentación pueden ser motivo de indemniza-ción al C.O. por los daños económicos que es-to hubiera podido originar (p.ej. gastos de cua-dras y hotel) como consecuencia de la renun-cia tardía o no-presentación.

(Todo jinete que no informe al C.O. de la re-nuncia de un caballo inscrito en las matrículasdefinitivas con fecha tope Viernes 18 de Julio,deberá reembolsar al C.O. con la cantidad de250 por caballo)

La inscripción de los participantes y de los ca-ballos se hará en las hojas adjuntas a los avan-ces de programa. Estas deberán ser cumpli-mentadas en todos sus apartados.

En estas hojas se deberá especificar la pruebadel primer día en la que participará cada caba-llo, admitiendo el cambio de caballos de unaprueba a otra hasta las 17 horas de la vísperadel concurso. A partir de este momento no seadmitirá ninguna modificación y los caballosdeberán participar en la prueba en la que esténi n c l u i d o s .

A defecto de esta inscripción en las pruebasdel primer día, el Comité Organizador se re-servará el derecho de incluirlos a discreciónen una u otra prueba.

La inscripción de los caballos para las prue-bas de cada día se realizará firmando la hojade inscripción, colocada en la Tribuna de Par-ticipantes, en la columna correspondiente a laprueba en la que se desea competir con cadauno de los caballos. Hora límite para el cierre

Spanish riders have to ask to the FHE for theauthorisation for taking part in this Horse Showaccording to the Spanish Equestrian Federa-tion Rules.

NB: Withdrawals after the date of definiteentries or no-shows will be held liable to reim-burse the OC for the actual financial loss incu-rred by the OC (i.e. stabling and hotel expen-ses) as a result of the late withdrawal or no-show.”

(Any rider who does not inform the O.C for thewithdrawal of a horse registered on the finalentries by Friday July 18th at the latest, willhave to reimburse the O.C. 250 per horse).

IMPORTANT: Entry forms must include thefollowing information on horses:- name of horse - date of birth - breed -country of birth - stud-book initials - passportnumber - colour - sex - name(s) of owner(s)

Entries for horses and riders must be madeon the forms enclosed with the schedule.These forms must be completed for horsescompeting on the first day.

Changes will be possible until 17,00 h. theday before the Horse Show starts. From thismoment changes won’t be possible and hor-ses will have to compete in the classes forwhich they are entered.

In case these forms are not completed theOrganising Committee reserves the right toenter -the first day- the horse in one class orother.

* Los mozos de los jinetes extranjeros invitados queparticipen en el CSI 4* / 23 a 25 de julio recibiránuna cantidad total de 100 para comidas. Aque-llos que participen también en el CSI 4* que secelebrará del 26 al 28 de julio, recibirán una canti-dad total de 200 para comidas.

Facilidades:

• Los camiones dispondrán de un lugar reser-vado para su estacionamiento en el interiordel recinto hípico, así como de puntos detoma de corriente.

• Instalaciones sanitarias y duchas, con aguacaliente y fría para hombres y mujeres.

3. CABALLOS

Los gastos de transporte serán a cargo delparticipante.

Los caballos serán alojados gratuitamente enlas cuadras del Concurso.

IMPORTANTE: Se informa a todos los jinetesque el C.O. no puede ofrecer boxes adiciona-les en las cuadras del Concurso. Los caballosque no compitan en los Concursos no podránser aceptados en ningún caso.

De acuerdo con los requisitos establecidospara CSIs, los jinetes extranjeros invitadosrecibirán una cantidad total de 40 por caba-llo para la primera cama.

4. RECEPCIÓN

Las fechas y horas de llegada de jinetes ycaballos, así como sus medios de transporte,deberán de ser indicados a los Organizado-res con el fin de facilitar su llegada.

3. HORSES

Transport expenses to be paid by the compe-titor.

Stabling is free of charge.

IMPORTANT: We inform all the riders that theO.C. can’t offer additional boxes at the HorseShows stables. Horses not competing at theShows could not be accept in any case.

According to CSI requirements, invited fo-reign riders will receive a lump sum of 40per horse for 1st bedding.

Se ruega a los participantes atiendan las ins-trucciones del Encargado de Protocolo y lepresten su colaboración para el buen desa-rrollo de estos actos.

El propietario del caballo ganador delGran Premio, será invitado a participar en laceremonia de entrega de trofeos.

3. PRIZE GIVING CEREMONY

The prize-giving ceremonies will be held atthe end of each class. The first five or tenriders -according to the conditions of eachclass- will have to go to the arena riding theirh o r s e s .

Competitors are asked to be attentive to theDirector’s instructions and to collaborate withhim for the success of these ceremonies.

The owner of the winning horse is invi-ted to the prize giving ceremony for the GrandPrix.

4. DEDUCTIONS FROM PRIZE MONEY

5. SEGUROS

“Todo jinete o propietario de caballo es per-sonalmente responsable de cualquier dañocausado a terceras partes por él mismo, susempleados, sus agentes o sus caballos. Asípues se aconseja suscriban un seguro deResponsabilidad Civil que cubra totalmente laparticipación en concursos hípicos naciona-les e internacionales y mantenga dicha pólizaen vigor”.

Todos los participantes deben velar por quesus seguros personales de ResponsabilidadCivil. Individual de Accidente, Enfermedad,etc., estén en período de vigencia:

- Para la actividad practicada

- Para los países en los que sea practicada laactividad

Por el hecho de su inscripción, todo partici-pante acepta las condiciones del programa ydescarga al Comité Organizador y a sus Ofi-ciales de toda responsabilidad por accidenteso enfermedades, sean de quienes sean, quepuedan ocurrirle a él o a otras personas, suspalafreneros, caballos o efectos, comprendi-dos daños de robo y perdidas, tanto en elinterior como en el exterior del recinto deConcurso, durante o después de las pruebas.

En ningún caso, podrá buscarse la responsa-bilidad del organizador en caso de cese de lavigencia de estos contratos. Les correspondeademás asegurar a ellos mismos los gastosde repatriamiento que podrían originarse co-mo consecuencia de un accidente. En conse-cuencia, los participantes renuncian a todorecurso que pudiera ejercer contra el organi-zador.

Por otra parte, los caballos y el material delos participantes quedan bajo su propia guar-dia y responsabilidad durante toda la dura-ción del concurso.

6. SOPORTES DE SEGURIDAD

Los soportes de seguridad de los obstáculosutilizados son suministrados por CARO (Car-dinali & Rothenberger GmbH – Alemania).

5. INSURANCES

“All owners and competitors are personallyresponsible for damages to third parties cau-sed by themselves, their employees, theiragents or their horses. They are thereforestrongly advised to take out third-party insu-rance providing full coverage for participationin equestrian events at home and abroad, andto keep the policy up to date”.

They must ensure too that their personal insu-rances (civil liability, individual accident, sick-ness etc.) are valid:

- For their sporting activity- For the country in which this activity takes

place

The Organising Committee and the Officialswill not be held responsible for accidents or ill-ness suffered by competitors, or other people,grooms horses or properties, including theftand loss, inside or outside the Riding Centre,during or after the classes.

Should a competitor’s insurance fail to provi-de proper compensation, the Organiser’sCivil Liability Insurance can in no case beapplied. It is their responsibility to provide forthe costs of any necessary repatriation shouldthe situation necessitate due to accident. Con-sequently, the competitors will renounceany claim against the Organiser.

Besides, the competitors horses and materialof competitors remain under their charge andresponsibility during the whole event.

Los participantes españoles deberán dirigir ala FHE su solicitud de autorización para parti-cipar en este concurso de acuerdo con la nor-mativa de la Federación Hípica Española.

NB: Las renuncias posteriores a la fecha se-ñalada para las Matrículas Definitivas o la n o -presentación pueden ser motivo de indemniza-ción al C.O. por las daños económicos que es-to hubiera podido originar (p.ej. gastos de cua-dras y hotel) como consecuencia de la renun-cia tardía o no-presentación.

En estas hojas se deberá especificar la pruebadel primer día en la que participará cada caba-llo, admitiendo el cambio de caballos de unaprueba a otra hasta las 17 horas de la vísperadel concurso. A partir de este momento no seadmitirá ninguna modificación y los caballosdeberán participar en la prueba en la que esténi n c l u i d o s .

A defecto de esta inscripción en las pruebasdel primer día, el Comité Organizador se re-servará el derecho de incluirlos a discreciónen una u otra prueba.

3. CABALLOS

Los gastos de transporte serán a cargo delparticipante.

Los caballos serán alojados gratuitamente enlas cuadras del Concurso.

IMPORTANTE: Se informa a todos los jinetesque el C.O. no puede ofrecer boxes adiciona-les en las cuadras del Concurso. Los caballosque no compitan en los Concursos no podránser aceptados en ningún caso.

De acuerdo con los requisitos establecidospara CSIs, los jinetes extranjeros invitadosrecibirán una cantidad total de 40 por caba-llo para la primera cama.

4. RECEPCIÓNLas fechas y horas de llegada de jinetes ycaballos, así como sus medios de transporte,deberán de ser indicados a los Organizado-res con el fin de facilitar su llegada.

Los participantes están autorizados a llevar ellogotipo de su patrocinador personal en lamantilla de la montura según lo establecidoen el Art. 136.1-2. El Comisario Jefe de Pad-dock debe asegurarse de que los anuncios ypublicidad en jinetes y caballos se ajusten alo establecido en el Artículo 136 del Regla-mento General.

La entrega de trofeos y lazos correspondientesa cada una de las pruebas se efectuará al fina-lizar cada una de ellas. Los cinco o diez pri-meros clasificados, según las condiciones decada prueba, deberán salir a la pista montadosa caballo.

Se ruega a los participantes atiendan las ins-trucciones del Encargado de Protocolo y lepresten su colaboración para el buen desa-rrollo de estos actos.

El propietario del caballo ganador delGran Premio, será invitado a participar en laceremonia de entrega de trofeos.

Competitors are asked to be attentive to theDirector’s instructions and to collaborate withhim for the success of these ceremonies.

The owner of the winning horse is invitedto the prize giving ceremony for the GrandPrix.

5. SEGUROS

“Todo jinete o propietario de caballo es per-sonalmente responsable de cualquier dañocausado a terceras partes por él mismo, susempleados, sus agentes o sus caballos. Asípues se aconseja suscriban un seguro deResponsabilidad Civil que cubra totalmente laparticipación en concursos hípicos naciona-les e internacionales y mantenga dicha pólizaen vigor”.

Todos los participantes deben velar por quesus seguros personales de ResponsabilidadCivil. Individual de Accidente, Enfermedad,etc., estén en período de vigencia:

- Para la actividad practicada

- Para los países en los que sea practicada laactividad

Por el hecho de su inscripción, todo partici-pante acepta las condiciones del programa ydescarga al Comité Organizador y a sus Ofi-ciales de toda responsabilidad por accidenteso enfermedades, sean de quienes sean, quepuedan ocurrirle a él o a otras personas, suspalafreneros, caballos o efectos, comprendi-dos daños de robo y perdidas, tanto en elinterior como en el exterior del recinto deConcurso, durante o después de las pruebas.

En ningún caso, podrá buscarse la responsa-bilidad del organizador en caso de cese de lavigencia de estos contratos. Les correspondeademás asegurar a ellos mismos los gastosde repatriamiento que podrían originarse co-mo consecuencia de un accidente. En conse-cuencia, los participantes renuncian a todorecurso que pudiera ejercer contra el organi-zador.

Por otra parte, los caballos y el material delos participantes quedan bajo su propia guar-dia y responsabilidad durante toda la dura-ción del concurso.

5. INSURANCES

“All owners and competitors are personallyresponsible for damages to third parties cau-sed by themselves, their employees, theiragents or their horses. They are thereforestrongly advised to take out third-party insu-rance providing full coverage for participationin equestrian events at home and abroad, andto keep the policy up to date”.

They must ensure too that their personal insu-rances (civil liability, individual accident, sick-ness etc.) are valid:

- For their sporting activity- For the country in which this activity takes

place

The Organising Committee and the Officialswill not be held responsible for accidents or ill-ness suffered by competitors, or other people,grooms horses or properties, including theftand loss, inside or outside the Riding Centre,during or after the classes.

Should a competitor’s insurance fail to provi-de proper compensation, the Organiser’sCivil Liability Insurance can in no case beapplied. It is their responsibility to provide forthe costs of any necessary repatriation shouldthe situation necessitate due to accident. Con-sequently, the competitors will renounce anyclaim against the Organiser.

Besides, the competitors horses and materialof competitors remain under their charge andresponsibility during the whole event.

This competition compri-ses two different courses in which eachcompetitor must participate with the samehorse. The first ten riders (penalties andtime) in the first round and the ones classed“ex-aequo” with the 10th rider -at least25%- will go forward to the second round(Art. 273.2.2) and in any case all clearrounds in the first round.First round: Table A against the clock.Second round: Table A against the clockStarting order for the first round will bedetermined by a draw. In the second round,riders will start in reverse order of penaltiesand time in the first round. There will not be aj u m p - o ff. Competitors will be placed accor-ding to aggregate penalties over bothrounds and the time incurred in the secondround. La Federación Ecuestre Internacional (FEI) espe-ra que todas las personas relacionadas con eldeporte ecuestre internacional acaten el Códigode Conducta de la FEI y acepten que el bienestardel caballo debe ser considerado primordial y noser jamás subordinado a ninguna influenciacomercial o de competición1. El bienestar de los caballos de competicióndebe predominar sobre todas las demás exigen-cias, en todas las etapas de su preparación y desu mantenimiento. Esto incluye el buen manejode los caballos, métodos de entrenamiento,herraje y guarnición, así como transporte.2. Para ser autorizados a participar, los caballos yjinetes deben de ser fisicamente aptos, compe-tentes y gozar de buena salud. Esto comprende eluso de medicamentos, procedimientos quirúrgi-cos que amenacen el bienestar o la seguridad delos caballos, la gestación de las yeguas y el maluso de las ayudas.3. Las competiciones no deben de perjudicar elbienestar de los caballos. Esto implica una aten-ción constante a los lugares de competición,terrenos, condiciones meteorológicas, cuadras,seguridad del lugar y a las condiciones del caba-llo para viajar tras la prueba.4. No deben de escatimarse esfuerzos para ase-gurarse de que los caballos reciban la atencióndebida tras la competición y que sean tratadoscon humanidad una vez finalice su carrera. Estoincluye los cuidados veterinarios apropiados, laslesiones sufridas durante los concursos, la euta-nasia y el retiro.5. La FEI insta a todas las personas relacionadascon el deporte a alcanzar el más alto nivel posi-ble de conocimientos en sus campos de compe-tencia.

THE FEI CODE OF CONDUCTFOR THE WELFARE OF THE HORSEThe Fédération Equestre Internationale(FEI) expects all those involved in internatio-nal equestrian sport to adhere to the FEI’sCode of Conduct and to acknowledge andaccept that at all times the welfare of thehorse must be paramount and must never besubordinated to competitive or commercialinfluences.1. At all stages during the preparation andtraining of competition horses, welfare musttake precedence over all other demands.This includes good horse management, trai-ning methods, farriery and tack, and trans-portation.2. Horses and competitors must be fit, com-petent and in good health before they areallowed to compete. This encompassesmedication use, surgical procedures thatthreaten welfare or safety, pregnancy inmares and the misuse of aids.3. Events must not prejudice horse welfare.This involves paying careful attention to thecompetition areas, ground surfaces, weatherconditions, stabling, site safety and fitness ofthe horse for onward travel after the event.4. Every effort must be made to ensure thathorses receive proper attention after theyhave competed and that they are treatedhumanely when their competition careersare over.This covers proper veterinary care,competition injuries, euthanasia and retire-ment.5. The FEI urges all involved with the sport toattain the highest levels of education in theirareas of expertise.
