Airflowamplifiersareextremelyusefulinheatingdeepcoresandotherhard-to-reachareas.Athinstreamofcompressedairmovesalargequantityofhotorcoldovenairtothetargetsite.Byincreasingthevolumeofairtoaparticularareaofamold,themoldercancontroltheproductwallthicknessinthatarea.Theseunitsareeasytomounttothespiderusingourmountingbracketassembly(seepage10).

Step1 Gatherallthecomponentsasshownintheaboveassemblydrawing.

Step2 Installthedowelpin(DP-0001)intotheholedrilledintothestem(GT-2200).Itshouldbeatightfit,makingitnecessarytodriveorpressitinplace.

Step3 Lubricatebothwashers(WA-0002andWA-0003)withhigh-temperaturegrease.

Step4 Placewasher(WA-0003)ontoinsidestem(GT-2550).

Step5 Putinsidestem(GT-2550)withwasher(WA-0003)throughthecenterofbody(GT-2320)asshownintheabovedrawing.

Step6 Installsecondwasher(WA-0002)overthethreadedsectionoftheinsidestem(GT-2550)thatisprotrudingthroughthecenterofthebody(GT-2320).

Step7 Screwtheradialtip(GT-2440)ontothethreadedsectionoftheinsidestem.Toinsurethatnoairleaksdevelop,usethreadsealerorpipetapeonthethreads.Tightenradialtip(GT-2440)usingapinorspannerwrenchintheholedrilledintotheradiustoensureagoodseal,yetstillallowtheinsidestemtofloatfreelyfromsidetosideinthebody(GT-2320).

Step8 Insertthepipenipple(NP-0010)throughthebodyandintotheinsidestem,usingthreadsealerorpipetape.

Step9 Cutandweldasuitableframeworkthatwillallowthestem(GT-2200)tobemountedinthedesiredposition.Drill21/32"throughtheframetoacceptthestem(GT-2200).Positionhardenedwashers(HW-1000)overthedrilledholeandweldinplace.Thestemassemblymountstothetopspider.

Step10 Cuttubing(determinelengthbyholdingbodyinpositionandmeasuringtopointonspiderthatyouwishtoconnectto)andweldbodyassemblyintopositiononbottomspider.Besuretomaintaingoodalignmentwiththeframeworkweldedontothetopspiderforthestem(GT-2200).

Step11 Installspring(DS-1036)ontostem((GT-2200),theninsertstemthroughtheframe.Addthejamnuts(JN-5811)andadjustthestemtoengage1/8"beforethemoldcompletelycloses.

Step12 Weldthestraightlock(GT-2840)inplace,keeproomforstemtravel.

Step13 Addplumbingtoconnectairsourceanddevices.
