Completion Ceremony of Japanese Grant Aid Project “The Project for Rehabilitation and Expansion of the Water Networks in Balqa Governorate”

On December 5, 2019, H.E. Mr. Hidenao Yanagi, Ambassador of Japan to Jordan

attended the completion ceremony of the Japanese Grant Aid project in Balqa Governorate. The project, which is titled “The Project for Rehabilitation and Expansion of the Water Networks in Balqa Governorate” aims to improve water supply services for people in Balqa Governorate, thereby contributing to the increased access to clean water and the promotion of peace and social stability in Jordan. The ceremony was hosted under the cooperation of the Ministry of Water and Irrigation of Jordan, Water Authority of Jordan and JICA Jordan Office. H.E. Eng. Raed Abu Al-Saud, Minister of Water and Irrigation, some Parliament members and other high officials including the governor of Balqa Governorate and members of related organizations in the water sector attended the ceremony. In addition, members of two Japanese companies which are involved in this project also attended the ceremony.

H.E. Eng. Raed Abu Al-Saud and many other Jordanian attendees expressed their appreciation for Japanese generous support for the project.

Inauguration of the monument Water Reservoir constructed under the project
