There are many reasons why you might track your business’s assets — to prevent theft, to improve utilisation or to comply with regulations. Vodafone Mobile Asset Tracking makes all this possible, in a convenient and cost-effective solution.

Trace assets, view asset distribution, receive maintenance alerts and check battery status. You can set a geofenced area marking a construction site where a piece of plant machinery is operating — if it leaves the area, for whatever reason, you’ll know about it as it happens.

We provide the ruggedised devices, SIMs and connectivity. You can check the status of your entire asset estate at any time through our Mobile Asset Tracking Portal.

Features Benefits

We provide a ready-to-go service All devices are onboarded on our platforms into the customer account and fitted with the IoT SIM at the factory. There are no Access Point Name (APN) setup costs or configuration delays. The customer activates the devices when installing them on the assets.

Two-factor authentication The two-factor authentication ensures recipients have the chance to opt-in and opt-out of notifications.

Asset distribution and inventory Customers can group assets using standard reports and Point of Interest (POI) tools and see the overall distribution of the estate with alerting and KPIs at no extra cost.

Mobile Asset Tracking devices adapted to the customer’s needs

A range of four devices and a suite of configurable modes allow adaption to almost every need. Key device reporting settings can be changed through the portal.

Multiple geofence setup Customers can pre-load a list of geofences and apply them to an asset or group of assets to receive automatic notifications when geofences are reached or breached.

Device battery status checks We offer an online tool to allow customers to check device battery levels in real time as well as KPIs and reports to keep owners informed of battery health and trends throughout the lifecycle.

Flexible location reports The Movement Sensing feature reports the asset’s location to avoid unnecessary communications when the asset isn’t moving, reducing data usage, battery consumption, and can even be combined with scheduled reporting.

Replacement battery packs Batteries can be replaced by the customer in two of the devices in the portfolio to enable extended use-case or extended contract terms.

3-month trial We provide a 3-month trial period (with 1-50 units) to experience the best of Mobile Asset Tracking.
