Installation process

Day 1l Enabling works completed, preparing external lights, water taps etc, protecting windows, extending window cill’s, cleaning surface areas, thereby preparing your Park Home ready for installation

l Graphite Polystyrene Insulation Panels are securely attached to the walls of the Park Home. These panels are securely fi tted by fi rst “dabbing” ultra strong adhesive onto the panels as well as Panels are then tightly secured in place with 5 washers/mushrooms and 5 screws in each panel in “a domino pattern”

l Any small gaps where the panels join are then fi lled with expanding foam to avoid any Cold-Bridging’/Condensation

Day 2l Our specialist system of Mesh & Render is then applied to the panels, as this then allows for slight fl exibility of movement in the Park Home i.e when there are strong winds and it also protects the system against any cracking

Day 3l Once the render is dried, which subject to weather conditions usually takes one day; then a layer of primer is applied to the Park Home, creating a base for the fi nal top-coat

l The fi nal top-coat is rendered/plastered onto your Park Home (not simply painted on) and is available in a choice of show home colours, dependent upon any colour scheme restrictions that the Park Home site has applied

l Our top-coat fi nish is available as either a smooth silicone or a slightly textured acrylic fi nish

Our Park Homes insulation system provides lightweight, energy effi cient solutions, with a choice of show home fi nishes. We use high quality materials from our supplier SPS Envirowall, using EPS boards and glass fi bre reinforcement mesh which is used to add extra strength and impact resistance.

Basecoat render, primer and topcoats are then applied; your topcoat is available in a range of colours. The benefi ts of our system:

Chassis services& under-fl oor insulation Chassis services& under-fl oor insulationIt is not often (if at all) that you will inspect the underside of your Park Home, and if you did, you may not know one way or the other, if there are any issues with the supporting chassis or supports. Yet these are vital components of your Park Home, are subject to on-going stresses and strains that can potentially have a detrimental effect on your Park Home.

ChassisIt is important to check the chassis for rust; if your chassis is rusting, it may benefi t from a refurbishment, as this will prevent further decay.

It is not often (if at all) that you will inspect the underside of your Park Home, and if you did, you may not know one way or the other, if there are any issues with the supporting chassis

SupportsSupports under your Park Home can be subject to movement over the years, due to weight loading; movement, and supports are also subject to rusting. Over the years, extra weight may have been added to a Park Home, i.e. when refurbishments take place. It is important to check the supports are suffi cient for any extra tolerances that have been applied to the Park Home. Your Park Home may also have concrete supports, which can also decay.

Some signs that may mean your Park Home would benefi t from an inspection:

l You think your Park Home may not be completely level or is sinking

l You Park Home site has experienced fl ooding

l You live near a coastline

l Your home is exposed to the elements

l Your fl oorboards are creaking

l Your windows and doors are not closing properly

l Your Park Home has poorly fi tting skirting or none at all

l If you have concrete supports, then these can be subject to cracking

SolutionsThe fi rst action is to have your support structure inspected, identify any issues and any remedial actions. Improvements may include any of the following, Cleaning of structure, removal of rust and re-painting, Replacement of supports with galvanised alternatives & Re-Levelling of Park Homes.

Under-fl oor insulation Our under fl oor insulation system keeps cold fl oors and draughts at bay whilst helping reduce energy loss. All park homes have a regulatory requirement of a 25mm gap between the skirting of the home and the actual sub frame of the home. The gap is required to disperse trapped gases under the home that might arise from any faulty gas fi tting. As modern day homes are generally fi tted with a brick skirting it is important that moisture is not transferred from the bricks to the fabrics of the home. The minimum 25mm gap prevents this from happening. What this gap also does is allow movement of air underneath the home. This constant airfl ow however, is the culprit for cold fl oors and unwanted draughts throughout the home. We use two systems, Reticel Boarding & Space Blankets, usuallycombining the two systems to provide the best solution.

Our fascia’s and soffi ts are all made with a UPVC outer skin and are colourfast so they stay looking good year after year - making them virtually maintenance free as they can be wiped clean and will never need repainting!
