Give youroperation awell-earnedproductivity boost

Longer lifetimeProductivity is top of the minerals processing industry agenda, and FLSmidth Institute’s training programs are all about maximising the value of plant equipment through all lifecycle phases. We aim to give minerals processing plant staff the skills and competencies they need to manage equipment from design, construction and installation to commissioning and operation and maintenance.

This year, we are focusing even more on the technical contentthat helps you to maintain your equipment at a higher level andsave costs while you’re doing it. As we continue to align ourofferings to market demands, we are always seeking tounderstand what will provide our customers with maximumvalue.

Close to the marketSince the Institute was founded, we have developed our coursesin response to market needs. As a leading manufacturer of minerals processing equipment equipment, we are well aware of the skills and competencies that need to be developed. At the same time, we listen to the needs of customers and adapt course content to meet specific challenges.

The courses described in this catalogue are just aportion of what we offer. If your operation has a specificchallenge, we can help you identify the type of training anddevelopment that is right for you and put together a program that will help close the competency gaps.

KPIs are an increasingly important facet of optimizing plantperformance. Through our courses, plant operators can learn all about how to determine and apply KPIs in their day-to-day operations.

Our highly specialized and professional trainers helped thou-sands of people last year with their learning and development. On average, our courses receive an impressive satisfaction rating of 8.6 out of 10, as measured by independent analysts. Weconstantly measure training effectiveness – both in terms of what people learn and in the success of transferring new skills to the plant. To maximise these gains, we can arrange post-course assessments and other follow-up activities designed to make the most of your investment.

Complete training solutionOur approach to learning and development is based on a unique three-pronged approach: instruction in the use of machinery, equipment design theory, and onsite training. FLSmidth is the only company to provide such a holistic approach.

Stay safeWorking in minerals processing plants carries with potential safety risks. It is important to remain vigilant and up-to-date with the latest regulations and safety procedures. Our training addresses important safety issues by sharing bestpractices that help you to embed a safety culture in youroperations. Even though there can be different regulations indifferent locations, it can be valuable to learn about safetypractices that have benefited others. What you learn from others can prove valuable for your entire organisation back home.On a final note, last year we launched our e-learning courses. This was a popular move. As another example of our constant aim to improve, we have now made these courses available through our web site. Just go to www.flsmidth.com, Copper, Learning and Development. We look forward to another year of training ahead! And remember, if you have any ideas or suggestions for how we can take your learning and develop-ment to another level, we’d like to hear from you.
