Learning NaturallyThe primary goal of the COMPASS program is to build personalized learning experiences for every child. An initial discovery process identifi es each child’s “sparks”, which are the topics and learning styles that hold their attention, animate their interest, and provide deeper meaning to their lives.

Through a personalized Student Learning Plan (SLP), the parents, teacher and student develop a learning relationship that applies these sparks to core and experiential learning activities. Parents are co-facilitators in a home learning environment and support access to resources and community opportunities. Teachers provide student reviews, arranged at regular intervals to document progress, as required by the Ministry of Education.
