Mary Bahus-Meyer (970)667-9047 [email protected] anatomyinclaycenters.org The Nonprofit In this intensive two-day workshop, you will explore the pectoral muscles of human, horse, and dog, building muscle- by-muscle in clay on scale models of each. Jon Zahourek, the creator of the MANIKEN ® , EQUIKEN ® and CANIKEN ® models and this comparative approach, will lead participants in a discovery of the basic human pattern reflected in the functional form of these limbs. In comparison to our mammalian relatives, the degrees of freedom and ranges-of-motion found in the human musculoskeletal system will provide you with a new understanding of the natural engineering involved in movement. The comparative anatomy of human, horse, and dog emphasizes the genetic translation of shared patterns, a key element in how humans and animals adapt to and occupy specialized niches in our environment. The hands-on approach at the heart of this workshop encourages participants to gain a new appreciation of the beauty found within our functional forms. The reward is a new understanding of our biomechanics and an intuitively enhanced sensitivity to movement. October 26 & 27, 2018 Take home the model you build for $395! The Nonprofit

In this intensive two-day workshop, you will explore the pectoral muscles of human, horse, and dog, building muscle-by-muscle in clay on scale models of each. Jon Zahourek, the creator of the MANIKEN®, EQUIKEN® and CANIKEN® models and this comparative approach, will lead participants in a discovery of the basic human pattern reflected in the functional form of these limbs.
