Company History• In 1947 Masaru Ibuka and Akio Morita started Tokyo Tsushin Kogyo in Tokyo,
Japan.• Company First product was Tape Recorder called “Type-G”• In August 1955, Tokyo Tsushin Kogyo released the Sony TR-55, Japan's first
commercially produced transistor radio.• In 1958 the company changed its name to "Sony“.• Sony's TR-63 radio of 1957 "cracked open the U.S. market and launched the new
