MOVING OVER LAND OR SEA

By Sea

Where possible, shipping by sea is the most cost effective method and

suitable for larger moves. People often use a combination of deep sea

transportation for items such as furniture, cars and the bulk of personal

effects and then airfreight for essential items.

Full Container Loads

For larger loads, this service gives you the sole use of a metal 20ft or

40ft shipping container. This is the faster, direct option as there is no

consolidation period. Containers can be loaded and sealed at your

home, access permitting.

Groupage

Our groupage service involves grouping together a number of small

shipments sharing space in a metal container. This is the most

economic service for smaller loads. Bishop’s Move operates regular

groupage services from the UK to the most popular overseas

destinations.

Less than a Container Load

This service is for urgently required consignments too small to fill a

container, too large to send by air or perhaps to unusual destinations

where a groupage service is not available. Your belongings are export

wrapped and packed at your home, loaded into plywood cases back at

our depot, then loaded into a metal container for shipping.

Road Freight

To most European destinations road freight is the quickest and most

economical option. We offer two services: Special (or dedicated service)

allows you to choose when the effects are collected and delivered. Part

load (or groupage service) offers a cost effective solution for smaller

consignments or where there is some flexibility on the dates. Your

effects are consolidated then loaded to a European vehicle with other

clients consignments going to a similar destination. The final delivery is

scheduled with you by our European operations team.

Export Wrap

Our packing unit will arrive at your home equipped with the boxes and

packing materials they need to export wrap and pack all your

belongings. For each package, an inventory is clearly recorded, then

depending on the size of the shipment and access, it is either taken

away or loaded into a container at residence.

Delicate and Unusual Items

No matter how fragile or awkward the item, we have a carton or packing

material to protect it. We professionally pack china and glassware,

books and linen, paintings and mirrors, and much more.

Crating

Custom crates may be required for fragile or valuable items to provide

added protection such as pianos, chandeliers, paintings and ornamental

mirrors. Our surveyors will advise you about this.

Care

Our trained packing team will carefully pack each item, making sure it is

suitably wrapped and packed for shipment overseas.

It was very difficult to communicate with the client as he was very short

in English language. Thanks to the “Google translator” and the

Embassy’s interpreter who helped to understand Mr. Cucchiara’ s

requirements. Mr. Cucchiara was offered a complete services ranging

from packing and picking up from his residence at Islamabad to

delivery at his residence in Pavia de Udine, Italy. It included the

following services.

Packing and crating of his household and personal belongings at his

residence. Loading / Stuffing into the container, Transportation from

Islamabad till Karachi, export custom process, Ocean Freight from

Karachi to Italy, Custom clearance process in Italy, door delivery at his

residence at Udine Italy.

The shipment was booked on Door To Door basis. However, since the

client was not familiar with the shipping process, had requested us to

provide completed services including packing and crating of all 16

Vespa scooters + a scooter side-car & arranging of all the necessary

documentation for shipping and clearance purpose. Our scope of work

included the following services.

Arrangement of all the necessary documentation, Packing and crating of

scooters, pick-up and transportation from Islamabad to Karachi, export

custom clearance process at Karachi, Ocean Freight from Karachi to

Italy, import custom clearance process at Italy and delivery of the sealed

container at client’s door step.

Scope Of work:

Mr. Kovalenko traveled on his motorbike from Germany by road to

Pakistan under ATA Carnet agreement. Unfortunately Mr. Kovalenko

had to ended up his journey when he broke his left arm while riding

towards Pakistan near Sust border.

He reached us through some referrals of friends in Islamabad. He

informed us about his situation and express that he is not able to travel

further on his BMW 500cc Motorbike and asked to move it from

Islamabad to Hamburg – Germany by sea along with his traveling

luggage. We arranged all the documentation, Packing Crating of the

motorbike, transportation from Islamabad to Karachi, Custom clearance

at Karachi, Ocean Freight from Karachi Hamburg Germany.

reached us through a referral. Our responsibility was to pick up the

vehicle right from his garage in Peshawar – KPK and deliver it to his

residence at Baltimore USA. We arrange all the documentation for

shipping purpose i.e. VCC (Vehicle verification Certificate) cancellation

of registration, export authorization from the relevant authorities etc.
