DESIGN NOTES
HAKI Stair Tower
ALL HAKI Systems have been designedto conform to current British &European standards. The loadingcriteria contained in this manual havebeen calculated according to currentEuropean standards.
Base Jacks
The stair tower is mounted on BaseJacks which are adjustable in height. This means the standards can alwaysbe adjusted to ensure that the beamsare horizontal.
Standards
Standards of 4.0m, 3.0m & 2.0m inlength are used. Shorter standardsmay be used as top standards.
Horizontals
The stair tower is built using 2.5 LedgerBeams, Single Tube Beams and 1.25mTransom Units with 1.5m betweenplatforms.
Anchorage
The stair tower must be anchored tothe structures at alternate levels (3mvertically) on both sides (inner andouter standards) using scaffold tubeand couplers.
Permissible Loads on Standards
When calculating the permissibleloads on standards the followingvalues apply, provided that all otherrequirements are fulfilled. Stair towerwith 1.5m stair flights 34kN perstandard.
ERECTION PROCEDURE
At front end to tower, locate entrancetransom over 2 base jacks. These need to beadjusted to estimated final height.
