While holidays generally give us all a break, Year 12s may well need to keep up the study as their end of year is so close. Year 11s will have gone through the process of selecting their courses for next year. My big hope is that those who were on the edge of passing have given a solid effort to ensure you make it through to Year 12. As I have said many times before it is not just a case of our students rolling over into Year 12 - if they are not satisfying requirements towards graduation, they will be undertaking Year 11 again in 2018. Included with this newsletter you will find a list of our academic award winners for Term 3. Congratulations to all of them listed - some are the top academic students in their courses while others have improved the most over Term 3. Our Physical Education students are undertaking their practical exams in Perth during the first week of the holidays. Results from these go towards their final ATAR scores so good luck to all these students. Year 12 University pathway courses will not run during the exam period - other classes will run as normal during this time. Exams conclude on Wednesday 11 October and all ATAR students are expected to attend on Thursday 12 October to Thursday 20 October as these are the last days for students to get exam feedback. This newsletter will arrive to you on the edge of Term 3 holidays and the countdown is certainly on for our Year 12s facing final assessments, Semester 2 exams and of course the WACE exams for tertiary entrance. While holidays generally give us all a break, Year 12s may well need to keep up the study as their end of year is so close. Year 12 ATAR students will receive their WACE Exam Timetables at the beginning of term 3 with a letter from the CEO of the School Curriculum and Standards Authority outlining important information about the exams.

Students must take their personalised exam timetable with them to ALL exams. If this is misplaced, please see Ms Baxter prior to the exam.

EGC students will undertake their WACE exams at Goldfields Arts Centre.
