Positive values and bullying awareness

• Starting point- positive values• Searching information: quotes and proverbs

about caring and friendship; how to deal with bullying

• Watching videos on our topic• Making posters and speaking about personal

experiences • Preparing a presentation to younger students

Presentation topics:

What is caring?• Bullying- what it is,

have they seen it or been bullied themselves

• Acts of kindness- mind map

• Writing a short story about act of kindness or a good deed

• Even a small act of kindness or a good word can change someone's life

• If you see that somebody is bullying, don't turn away and pretend you didn't see it- step in!

• If you see that somebody is being bullied... talk to your teacher, to your parents

• If you are being bullied- look for help, speak to somebody, don't keep it to yourself, don't give up

• Sharing your problem with somebody takes half of it away

• It's so much better to make people glad than sad!

• Once we had a little problem in our school. Tõnno had a fight with Ansel and everyone were just watching it. But then I stepped in. We both got hurt, but it was worth it. They had a fight because Ansel had stepped on Tõnno's new things he recently had got. Tõnno was very sad. Ansel was also sad because he didn't know how much these things meant to Tõnno. When the problem was solved they were friends again.

• On last summer, my uncle fell off a bike and broke his arm. When he got out of the hospital it was very hard for him to do anything. On the weekend my mom sent me to my uncle's. I helped him by doing the dishes and making some food for him. I visited the local shop to buy him groceries. Afterwards I washed his clothes and prepared him breakfast with coffee. We played Xbox together and it was really funny to watch how he did it with one hand only. In the evenings he allowed me to use his laptop for gaming.

On Sunday morning my uncle got an e-mail with a webpage address attached. The webpage could only be entered with a password. My uncle's photos were on that passworded webpage. Once we finished checking his photos, my mom arrived and she took me home. On the way home I told her all about the helpful things I did for my uncle and how much fun I had.• Ralf
