from Blood on the Tracks, by Bob Dylan

"How often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen dothgather her brood under her wings." Luke 13:34.

"As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadethabroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them upon her wings: So the LORDalone did lead him, and there was no strange god [el, in Hebrew] withhim ....then he forsook God [Eloah, feminine in Hebrew] who made him,and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation....They sacrificed unto devils, not to God [Eloah, feminine in Hebrew] ....Of the Rock that begat thee thouart unmindful, and hast forgotten God that formed thee." Deuteronomy32:11,12,15,17,18.

"In all their affliction He was afflicted, and the Angel of His presencesaved them in His love and in His pity He redeemed them; and He barethem, and carried them all the days of old. But they rebelled, and vexed HisHoly Spirit [Ruah, feminine in Hebrew]." Isaiah 63:9, 10.

"Wisdom [Hookmah, feminine inHebrew; Sophia, feminine in Greek]is justified of all her children." Luke 7:35.

Though begotten by His Word, Ye are born of the Spirit.

Who is thisWoman who desires to give us "Shelter from the Storm?"

"He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto thechurches; 'To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it." Revelation 2:17.

  • Though many understand that the Church, the Community ofIsrael (theliteral and the spiritual) has always been portrayed as a woman, both in theOld Testament and the New Testament, and is a shelter to her children, thereis more to this Woman than that.

masculine Persons then the word would be Elim, which is used only twicewith reference to YHWH. Mankind (male and female) is said to be made inthe "image" and "likeness" of Elohim (feminine, masculine, plural), not El(masculine, singular), Elim (masculine, plural), Eloah (feminine, singular),or Elohot (feminine, plural). As Elohim is plural, it should be consistentlyread as Gods, plural, whether referring to the True Gods, or to false ones.

In Biblical Hebrew and Aramaic all common nouns, verbs andantecedents have gender assigned to them, either masculine or feminine, there is no neuter, nothing is called "it." Most all nouns ending in "ah" arefeminine. Whenever reading or thinking of the Holy Spirit [Ruah, inHebrew], Moses and the other Old Testament writers, Jesus, and HisHebrew/Aramaic speaking apostles and disciples, Bob Dylan, or anyone elsewith a basic understanding of the Hebrew Scriptures, would see a femininePerson.

EL SHADDAI - Translated Almighty God, God Almighty. The actualroot of the word Shaddai is shad and means breasts, feminine. El Shaddailiterally means "The Mighty Breasted One" - able to abundantly supply, nurture, and comfort. In many places where El Shaddai occurs, so doesEloah (Goddess).

In the second century B.C., Jewish rabbis and scholars made atranslation of the Hebrew Scriptures into the Greek language for the Greek-speaking Jews and converts. This is known as The Septuagint. After the workwas completed a time of fasting and mourning was proclaimed because ofthe violence done to the beauty of the Hebrew Scriptures. Why? Because theGreek language employed a neuter gender and in many cases personality andgender were lost. The same loss took place in New Testament times whenJesus' apostles and disciples translated some of the Gospels and otherwritings into Greek, or wrote in Greek themselves. Biblical Hebrew has inits word pictures a revelation of the Divine.

SHEKINAH - Another Hebrew term used to describe the Presence ofGod, The Holy Spirit. It is also feminine. It was the Shekinah which was saidto "dwell between the cherubim" and was also worshipped as God.

"That which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hathshown it unto them. For the invisible things of Him from the creation ofthe world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead." Romans 1:19, 20.

"And God [Gods - Elohim] said, 'Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness: and let them have dominion .... ' So God [Gods - Elohim]created man in His Own image, in the image of God created He him; maleand female created He them." Gen. 1:26,27.

    HEBREW TITLES

ELOAH - Translated God. It appears over fifty times in the Scriptures. It is mainly used in reference to YHWH. It has the feminine ending "ah" andshould be translated Goddess. The form Elohi is twice translated goddess, literally goddess of(1 Kings 11:5,33). I asked a Hebrew teacher in what waydoes Eloah, being feminine as it is, differ from El or Elohim. After reflectingfor a moment, she replied that it represents the One who is "with us."

"In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God [Gods -Elohim] made He him; male and female created He them; and blessed themand called their name Adam ..." Gen. 5: 1,2. Woman was not created in the"image" and "likeness" of the man, but of God, or, rather, Goddess, the HolySpirit. When Gods called Adam, they, Their image and likeness, responded.Later, after they had sinned, the man called the woman, Eve (Genesis 3:20).

EL - Translated God, gods, idols, mighty, mighty one, power, andstrong. It is used in reference to YHWH, The God of Israel, as well as ofgods of other nations. It is singular and masculine.

ELOHIM - Translated angels, God, godly, judges, and gods. Elohimhas Eloah as its root, with the added masculine plural ending im. It impliesa unity of masculine and feminine, and a plurality. If the Godhead were all

The adherents of Judaism, in general, have no problem acknowledgingthe duality of gender the Scriptures use when speaking of God because theytraditionally believe today (though it has not always been so), "[a]sMaimonides, the greatest medieval Jewish philosopher puts it 'God is not abody, nor can bodily attributes be ascribed to him, and he has no likeness atall.' " The Hebrew Goddess, by Raphael Patai, Wayne State University Press. It certainly leads to confusion to read in the Scriptures that we are made in

  • the "likeness" of God, but be told that He "has no likeness at all." No wonderwhy so many people are having an identity crisis today. Woman is made inthe image and likeness of the Holy Spirit.

    16. This is how and why Jesus becomes our "Everlasting Father" Isaiah9:6.

"HEAR,O ISRAEL, THE LORD OUR GOD IS ONE LORD."Deuteronomy 6:4.

In Matthew 25: 1-13 the Church is portrayed as virgins waiting with theBride for the Corning of the Bridegroom. In Revelation 19:9 the Church isportrayed as guests at the marriage supper of the Lamb. If companions andguests, she (the Church) cannot also be the Bride.

Many take that verse to mean that "God is one." But, the Hebrew wordorder reads differently than that English translation. It reads, "The LORD[YHWH], our Gods, The LORD [YHWH] is one." Thus, Moses wasn'tsaying that "Gods [Elohenu] is one," but that "the LORD [YHWH] is one."

    THE BRIDEGROOM SAYS

The word translated "one" (echad) implies a "unity" of more than justone in number. The Gods (ha-Elohim), through Moses, were not tellingIsrael that They were "one" Person, but that They (the Gods, ha-Elohim)were perfectly united, "One." This was contrary to all of the other religiousbeliefs around them in that all of the other deities were in opposition to, andeven warring against, each other, even the ones which were of the samefamily. The Gods ofIsrael, "The Mighty Living Ones [Elohim Hayyim]" areOne (United).

"My Dove, my undefiled is but One; She is the only One of HerMother, She is the beloved One of Her [the Mother] that bare Her [theDaughter] ... Return, return, 0 Shulamite, return, return, that we may lookupon thee. What will ye see in the Shulamite? As it were the company ofTwo Armies [Two Hosts -Mahanaim, Gen. 32:2]." Song of Solomon 6:9,13.

    THE BRIDE SAYS

    THE PLURALITY OF MAJESTY

"The Lord [Jesus] possessed Me [the Holy Ghost, His Sister] in thebeginning of His way, before His works of old. I was set up fromeverlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was. When there were nodepths I was brought forth ... Before the mountains were settled, before thehills, was I brought forth: While as yet He had not made the earth ... WhenHe prepared the heavens, I was there ... Then I was by Him, as one broughtup with Him: and I was daily His delight, rejoicing always before Him;rejoicing in the habitable parts of the His earth ..." Proverbs 8:22-30. TheHebrew word translated "brought forth" literally means, "birthed."

The Jews, though acknowledging the "Plurality ofMajesty" as definedin the language of the Scriptures, never have, nor would have believed in aTrinity, for they believe the Son also has a feminine Counterpart, as does HisFather, thus making four not three. It can be seen that the translators of theKing James Bible understood this somewhat in the fact that in the NewTestament the term Holy Ghost is translated from the same words for HolySpirit. This was done to convey the fact that the Scriptures reveal that TheFather has His Own Spirit, and the Son has His Own Spirit. Thus revealinga heavenly Father, Mother, Son, and Daughter.

"Thy throne, 0 God [the Son], is forever andever ...Oh God [the Son],thy God [Your Father and Mother, the Holy Spirit], hath anointed Theewith the oil of gladness above thy fellows ... The King's [the Father's]Daughter [the Holy Ghost] is all glorious within ...She shall be brought untothe King [the Son] in the raiment of needlework (fine linen - Revelation.19:8); the virgins [the 144,000] Her companions that follow Her shall bebrought unto Thee [the Son] [Rev 14:1-5]. Instead of Thy fathers, shall beThy children, whom Thou mayest make princes in all the earth." Psalm 45:6-

"What are these two Olive Trees [The Father and Mother] upon theright side of the candlestick [the church - Rev. 1:20] and upon the left sidethereof? And ...What be these two Olive Branches [Son and Daughter]which through the two golden pipes (prophets) empty the golden oil out ofThemselves? ...These [the Branches] are the Two Anointed Ones that standby the Lord of the whole earth." Zechariah 4:11-14.

"Wherefore when He cometh into the world, He saith, Sacrifice andoffering Thou wouldst not, but a body hast Thou prepared Me." Hebrews10:5. The Holy Spirit, by an act of Divine creation, began a body fromMary's seed, and the Only Begotten Son of God gave up His Divine Formand Glory to become one with the fleshly body. He was not "Begotten of the

  • Father," nor "Born of the Spirit" at the time ofthe incarnation, but at a timebefore He, the Son, created everything with the Holy Ghost by Him.

"But the Spirit itself [Herself] maketh Intercession forus .... " Rom 8:26.

"Christ Who through the Eternal Spirit offered Himself ..." Hebrews9:14.

The early Church knew of two intercessors, Jesus and the Holy Ghost, one masculine, one feminine, both Divine. This was later changed into Jesusand Mary.

"Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honor to Him: for the Marriageof the Lamb is come, and His Wife hath made herself ready. And to Herwas granted that She should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for thefine linen is the righteousness of the saints." Revelation 19:7, 8. What wasShe wearing? - "the righteousness of the saints." It is not the saints that haveon the "fine linen," it is "His Wife." "And the Spirit (Mother) and the Bride(Daughter) say, 'Corne" Rev. 22:17. To whom? To you and I, brothers andsisters.

BOB DYLAN AND WISDOM, HIS FRIEND

In the Book of Proverbs the Holy Ghost is characterized as Wisdom, theDivine feminine Intercessor. In his song, Shelter from the Storm, Bob Dylanis simply telling of the Holy Ghost's [Divine Wisdom's] work in his spiritualrebirth- Her, the Daughter of Gods' work. "Come in," She said [to him,and you and me], "I'll give you shelter from the storm."

"Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice? Shestandeth in the top of high places, by the way in the places of the paths. Shecrieth at the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in at the doors.

"Unto you, 0 men, I call; and my voice is to the sons of man. 0 yesimple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart.Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall beright things. For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is anabomination to my lips. All the words of my mouth are in righteousness;there is nothing froward or perverse in them. They are all plain to him thatunderstandeth, and right to them that find knowledge.

"Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather thanchoice gold. For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be

    6

    r t

desired are not to be compared to Her."I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty

inventions. The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, andthe evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate. Counsel is mine, and soundwisdom: I am understanding; I have strength. By me kings reign, and princesdecree justice. By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of theearth. I love them that love Me; and those that seek Me early shall findMe. Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness. My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choicesilver. I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths ofjudgment: That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and Iwill fill their treasures ...

"Now therefore hearken unto me, 0 ye children: for blessed are theythat keep my ways. Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not. Blessedis the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the postsof my doors. For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of theLORD. But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they thathate me love death." Proverbs 8:1-21, 32-36.

    ".

Not only are the Hebrew words for Spirit and Wisdom feminine, but sois the word for Law (Instruction), Torah. The devil hates the Holy Spirit, theHoly Ghost, women, and true femininity, for he first sinned against the HolySpirit's influence in his heart and mind, and thereby Law and Wisdom.

" ...She crieth upon the highest places of the city, Whoso is simple, lethim turn in hither: as for him that wanteth understanding, She saith to him,Come, eat of my bread, and drink of the wine which I have mingled. Forsakethe foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding." Proverbs 9:3-6.

"She is a Tree of Life to them that lay hold upon Her: and happy isevery one that retaineth Her." Proverbs 3:18.

    I,.

"Precious Angel, under the Sun, how was I to know You'd be the one.To show me I was blinded; to show me I was gone; how weak was thefoundation, I was standing upon. Shine Your light. Shine Your light on me.Shine Your light. You know I just couldn't make it by myself, I'm a little tooblind to see ...You're the Queen of my flesh Girl, you're my Woman, you'remy delight." Precious Angel, by Bob Dylan.

"If not for you, Babe, I couldn't find the door, couldn't even see thefloor. I'd be sad and blue, ifnot for You ..." If Not For You, by Bob Dylan.
