of the basic FCC RGB colors.

RFCC: (R,G,B)=(1, 0, 0) → X=0.61, Y=0.3, Z=0 → x=0.67, y=0.33

Problem 4.2

The most common analogous input of a TV set is the compo-nent video. It has three pairs of wire: one for the luminance (Y) signal, and two for the chrominance, i.e., the CR=R-Y and CB=B-Y signals.

a) What color we will see the bride’s white robe if we inter-change the two chrominance cables?

b) What kind of colors are insensitive for the change of chrominance signals?

The component video signal of a pixel on a color monitor are CR=0.35, CB=–0.15 and Y=0.45.

a) What are the R,G,B components of the pixel?

b) What color we see the pixel?

c) What ratio we should mingle a standard C white (R=G=B) and an RGB basic color to earn the above hue?

d) Estimate the excitation purity of the pixel’s color!
