* There is provision of two supernumerary seats in each program for sponsored candidates (the decision of the department/ selection committee shall be final w.r.t. filling of seats). Note: 1. The actual number of admission/ seats may be decreased or no admissions may be made in a particular Ph.D./ Masters’ program in a

particular year depending upon availability of faculty expertise in a particular programme/ discipline. 2. The candidates seeking admission in M.Tech. (Ag.) or PhD. (Ag. Engg.) programmes from discipline other than Agricultural

Engineering, will be required to take additional pre-requisite courses, as per rules.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION 1. Duration: The programmes are full time residential. The duration of M.Tech. and Ph.D. will

be FOUR and SIX semesters, respectively. 2. Eligibility: The candidate must have passed the qualifying degree (as mentioned in the

above table) from recognized University with following minimum marks or OGPA:

Program Minimum percentage of marks or OGPA M.Tech. 60% marks (or OGPA of 6.00/10.00) Ph.D. 65% marks (or OGPA of 6.50/10.00)

Relaxation (5%) for SC/ST/BC (OBC) (Non Creamy Layer)/MBC (Non Creamy Layer)/ EWS shall be admissible as per rules.

3. Reservation: The reservation of seats will be followed as per Rajasthan State Govt. Rules. 4. Sponsored Candidates: The in-service candidates can be considered under sponsored

category if they are sponsored by their employer and fulfill the conditions as per university set rules/ norms as follows:

(a) The candidates must have a minimum of two years of full-time work experience in responsible capacity in a Registered Firm/Company/ Industry/Educational and Research Institution/Govt./Quasi Govt./Autonomous Organization in the relevant field in which admission is being sought.

(b) In case of Industry, the Firm/Company/Industry shall either be a public sector undertaking or a public limited company registered in a stock exchange or a private concern whose annual turnover during the past two years exceeds Rs.5 crores. Further, the Industry sponsored candidates shall be required to pay a higher fees of 1.25 times the normal fees.

(c) The Educational Institution should be recognized by AICTE/ICAR. (d) Letter of appointment and Form-16 for two years of service is required from the

employer and must invariably be attached with the application form. In addition, the candidate must submit an undertaking that he/she will continue to submit Form- 16 for the subsequent years till he / she completes the programme.

(e) The candidate shall be required to submit a sponsorship certificate for sponsoring by the sponsoring institution.

Note: Candidates applying as Sponsored candidates shall not be considered for non-sponsored seats. They should submit a separate application with fee, if they want to be considered for normal seats. However, they still have to submit sponsorship certificate and other documents as required for sponsored candidates.

5. Scholarships: GATE qualified candidates must be getting Assistantship through AICTE, MHRD. Ph.D. admitted candidates are having chances of getting Research Assistantship under TEQIP-III progamme.

6. How to Apply: The candidates must use the application form downloadable from our websites www.mpuat.ac.in or www.ctae.ac.in Separate application form with application fee should be filled up for each discipline. However, if a discipline/branch has multiple specializations then only one application needs to be submitted. The completed application form must be sent ONLINE along with necessary documents in .pdf format to the following email id by the last date:-

The in-service candidates must forward their application as per above through their employer. They may send one advance copy; however, the through-proper-channel copy shall invariably reach by the date of counseling otherwise their candidature shall not be considered.

7. Last Date: The last date of online receipt of completed application form is 15th Sept. 2020. Applications received late for whatsoever reason, shall not be entertained.

The proof of amount remitted must be attached along with the online application. Applications without the requisite application fee shall not be entertained. THE APPLICATION FEE IS NON-REFUNDABLE.

9. Mode of Selection: The selection shall be made as per below. It is mandatory to be present for interview online on the counseling dates. i). Master’s programme – On the basis of valid GATE Score. In case of non-availability of

GATE candidates, seats shall be filled on the basis of Merit cum Online Interview, as per the criterion fixed by the University.

ii). Ph.D. programme – On the basis of Merit cum Online Interview, as per the criterion fixed by the University.

The merit score has weightage for experience. The experience shall be reckoned on the last date of application. The candidates having minimum one year of experience only shall be given weightage for experience on production of Form-16 from the employer along with the application as per university rules. The list of eligible candidates shall be put up on the website on the date as indicated in the Schedule of Important Dates. No individual letter or email shall be sent for this purpose. IMPORTANT: The candidates who have completed all the requirements of the qualifying degree (including submission of thesis in case of qualifying degree of M.E./ M.Tech.) on the last date of application but result of their final semester is still awaited, will have to submit a certificate about completion of academic requirements of qualifying degree from the Institute last attended. However, the final mark sheet/ PDC shall have to be submitted by the date indicated in the schedule. The admission of such candidates shall be purely provisional on the basis of the provisional merit score calculated based on the overall percentage/OGPA up to the previous semester. If the final result/ PDC is not submitted by the last date indicated in the schedule or the candidate fails in the qualifying degree examination, the admission of such candidates shall be automatically cancelled and no fees shall be refunded. If the final marks/OGPA result in lower merit score vis-à-vis other candidates, the branch/specialization of admission of such candidates may be accordingly revised or admission may be even cancelled. However, the candidate shall have no claim for upward revision of his/her merit. The candidate shall be required to give an undertaking for this along with the online form. In view of these, such candidates are advised to attend the online counseling at their own risk.

10. Reporting and Registration: The selected candidates have to report for joining, pay fees and register by the last date indicated in the schedule. The in-service candidates getting admission under sponsored seats quota shall have to produce a relieving letter from the employer. The in-service candidates getting admission under normal seats shall also have to produce a relieving letter or a letter of acceptance of their resignation by the date indicated in the Schedule. If these conditions are not complied with the admission may be cancelled and no fees shall be refunded.

12. Fee Structure: The fee structure currently in force is as follows. If the fees are revised by the University/ Govt. of Rajasthan, the same shall be chargeable. The fees have to be deposited by the selected candidates by the last date indicated in the schedule and no relaxation shall be granted. Academic Fees

13. Amendments, Corrigendum & Further Notifications: The applicants are advised to visit the college website regularly for admission updates or any further changes. All further notifications for PG Admission 2020-21 shall be through website only.
