Health-related jobs are on the rise, with a growing demand for clinicians, such as doctors and dentists, and for a vast array of related professionals, such as biomedical researchers. If you are interested in a career in health care, this option will prepare you for admission to professional or graduate programs or entry-level positions. This option provides a strong foundation in biology with supporting courses in general chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, and physics, which are required for admission to clinical and biomedical programs. This coursework also is required for other programs including pharmacy, physical and occupational therapy, physician’s assistant, and biomedical Master’s and Ph.D. programs.
