Improved safetyOr perhaps we should better describe this asoptimal safety. Because at Lankhorst Mouldingssafety is most important and second to none. In thisrespect we find it very important that our engineersare fully involved in the whole process: designing(new) coil storage systems in our own Research andDevelopment Centre, recycling the right type ofplastics in our own recycling plant, producing coilstorage chocks in our own production facility andon-site advice by our highly experienced salesengineers. Needless to say that most of ourproducts have been evaluated and approved byTV Germany, as well Lankhorst Mouldings arecertified according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 andOHSAS 18001 regulations.

Less damageOur material is ductile. When subjected to loading,KLP material flexes slightly but will return to itsoriginal shape immediately afterwards. KLP

material considerably reduces damage to yourprecious coils.

Optimal flexibilityAt Lankhorst Mouldings we do not simply copy awooden chock. We develop new innovative coilstorage systems. We know that your coil dimensionsare not always the same, therefore our chocks arenot fixed to their position they can easily beadjusted for the coil dimensions that you havetoday. Flexibility for diameter, width and weight.

Extreme long lifetimeAs mentioned before, at Lankhorst we recycleplastics ourselves, and we have done so for thepast 30 years. This allows a constant quality level atall times, very important when it comes to safety.Anyone can make a black plastic chock, but whohas the experience to make one that never breaksand lasts a lifetime?

In Holland we say what good is comes fast.This is certainly the case for our KLP

RollStop System. Developed back in 2005,today already our most popular coil storagesystem chosen by all major steel companiesworld wide.

It is a turn-key storage system offeringmaximum flexibility and maximum safety. Coilsmay be stored up to three levels. The systemconsists of four simple components: rail,connector, spacer and KLP RollStop thisallows a very simple installation on-site.

The interlocking system consists of a reinforcedrail with notches on which the KLP RollStopscan be positioned. The distance between theKLP RollStops may vary depending on coildiameter. One size fits all! An extensiveinstallation manual will guide you through theinstallation of the system on-site.

Since 1986, Lankhorst Mouldings have beenmarketing KLP Rollblocks. From thatmoment, the Rollblock coil storage systemhas become a standard for many steelcompanies.

Our KLP Rollblock System offers coil storagethat is both safe and flexible. Rollblocks have tobe placed into standard UNP-channels.Theblocks have no fixed position; they can be moveddepending on the diameter of the coil - ideal ifyou have a variety of small and large coils.

KLP Rollblocks allow storage of coils withdiameters ranging from 500 to 2500 mm. The 28 chock angle offers maximum supportand allows coil stacking up to three levels.

KLP Rollblocks are produced from plastics. Years ofexperience ensure the best choice of materials; theproduct becomes virtually indestructable and resilient.When subjected to loading KLP Rollblocks flexslightly, but will return to their original shapeimmediately afterwards. KLP Rollblocks considerablyreduce damage to coils.

Our standard Rollblock (type 55/16-2) is a true heavyduty block: each Rollblock can bear about 25 tons.One coil is supported by four Rollblocks. Apart fromthis Rollblock we offer several other dimensions: forevery coil warehouse Lankhorst Mouldings can offerthe right storage system. Our sales people will behappy to assist you in finding the optimal solution.

KLP Rollblocks are available in twoqualities: our black standardrange, which can be used for coilswith a temperature up to 60C anda range allowing storage of coilswith a temperature up to 110C.

The English/American equivalent ofthe European UNP-180 channel is the C7 channel.

Turn - key systemKLP RollCradle system is an improved version of thetraditional KLP RollCradles. It will be supplied as aturn-key coil storage system. The system offers goodvalue for those warehouses that do not have a largevariety in coil dimensions and that store coils up to 2levels.

Lankhorst Mouldings have over 25 years of experiencein safe coil storage. Our selection of raw materialsguarantees an extreme long lifetime. When subject toloading, the KLP RollCradles flex slightly, yet willreturn to their original shape immediately afterwards.This will avoid damage to your precious coils.

Not all coils are stored in multiple levels.Sensitive material may not be stacked due tothe risk of damage. Sometimes regular coilsare stored temporarily awaiting furtherprocessing and slit coils are usually toonarrow for stacking.

For these applications Lankhorst Mouldingshave developed a wide range of KLP

Storageblocks and KLP Oiltrays. These are V-shaped floor pads that can easily be installed inany warehouse. Sometimes they are fixed to thefloor, but this is not always necessary.

We offer our KLP Storageblocks in a variety ofdimensions (see table). Chock angles up to 15allow optimal support for (slit)coils. KLP

Oiltrays usually have a groove in the centre ofthe product. This allows the drainage of oilwhich may drip from the coil.

For storage of narrow strip we recommend theuse of a steel frame around our KLP

Storageblocks or KLP Oiltrays. Moreinformation upon request.

KLP Coilstacker softwareMost of our storage systems allow two or threelevel stacking of coils. Safety certificates,issued by German health and safety authorityTV, ensure safety in the warehouse while usingour systems. However, our customers often ask

us how their coils, usually with a variety indiameters, should be stored on our blocks. Assuch a question cannot always be answeredeasily we have developed our KLP Coilstackersoftware.

KLP Coilstacker allows a simple yet effectivesimulation of your Lankhorst coil storage systemand your coils. You define the coils (diameter +weight) and the program will show you whetherthe stacking is safe or not. It will also tell youhow many coils may be stored per row, givingyou easy insight into your total warehousecapacity.
