Introduction
After the introduction of the KLP® Switch sleepers
Lankhorst has also developed the KLP® Bridge sleeper.
This sleeper is based on the same technology as the
switch sleeper but can be produced in different heights.
The last few millimeters can be milled of.
In this way KLP® bridge sleepers can be supplied with
millimeter accuracy. Lankhorst can pre-install the
fastening system and mark the sleepers with a unique
number to ensure a fast installation.

KLP® Bridge sleepers are very suitable for the
replacement of wooden sleepers on (steel)
bridges. Since 2010 KLP® Bridge sleepers are
installed on several locations in The Netherlands
on steel bridges. These bridges are being
monitored closely and are performing well.
After the first installation on a bridge in 2010,
Movares, a Dutch consultancy and engineering
company, has performed sound measurements.
The sound was measured before and after
installation of the plastic sleepers. Movares
concludes that the application of plastic sleepers
has reduced the sound with 3-5 dB compared to
wooden sleepers.

Lankhorst Mouldings
Lankhorst Mouldings can already look back at a
successful and versatile history of over 30 years, but
we tend to look at the future as the future always
brings new opportunities, new ideas and most
importantly new solutions. Since Lankhorst produced
its first plastic post according to the intrusion process in
1977, many innovations have come to maturity.
Today Lankhorst has their own Research and
Development department capable of designing,
calculating and testing products. Lankhorst now serves
a variety of markets with large plastic products molded
from either recycled plastic s or new materials. For an
overview of markets and product portfolio we invite
