Masthead and strap line Masthead- Displays the name of the magazine,

it normally goes from left to right and at the top of the magazine. A line of type on the front page of a newspaper or the cover of a periodical giving the name of the publication.

Strapline- Bar across the top or bottom of the

page which provided additional information.

Barcode Barcode- Allows the shop keeper to scan it and find out the price

and what the object is, each barcode is different depending on what the product is.a series of lines of varying width, printed, as on a container or product, that can be read by an optical scanner to determine charges for purchases, destinations for magazines, etc.

Main coverline- Allows the reader to find out more about the main

article in the magazine.

Website. A website is used to allow the reader to

go online and find out more about the magazine itself and the articles in the magazine.

Coverline. These allow the reader to have sneak

peeks of what will be included in the article apart from just the main article, it also displays to the reader that if they don’t like the main celebrity they might like what else is inside therefore getting a wider audience.

Colour scheme, puffs and buzzwords. colour scheme of 3-4 colours is normally

on the front of magazines. Puffs are extra details in a bubble. Buzzwords are words used to intrigue

the audience eg. FREE or NEW.

Price and Pugs. If it is a very popular magazine there will

be many more issues Fake page curls.
