Club Cotillion Club Collion is excited to announce the schedule for the 6 th Annual Club Collion for upcoming 7 th grade students. JDW Social Educaon Programs (based in Denver, Colorado has instructed across the U.S. for over 65 years) is direcng a series of five classes. The purpose is to offer our children the opportunity to develop their skills beyond academic knowledge. The instructors are dedicated to convincing students that how they act is not only a reflecon of their character; it is also a demonstraon of their educaon. Wherever you go, whatever you do, whoever you meet—social skills are essenal for establishing successful relaonships. Topics include: Why Social Skills Maer, First Impressions & Introducons, Communicaon—verbal, non-verbal & tech, Teamwork & Leadership, Dining Equee & Table Manners, Character & Codes of Conduct. The students will learn tradional, Lan and contemporary dances. The dance educaon is one of the best tools to break- down inhibions, insll self-confidence and develop mutual respect between girls and boys in a structured healthy environment. Dances with variaons include: Fox Trot, Waltz, Jierbug, Salsa, Cha Cha and, Texas Two-Step. A dress code is required. Girls are required to wear an appropriate dress or skirt that is not more than 3” above the knee. Please wear a shrug if shoulder straps are less than 2 fingers in width. Shoes should have heels less than 2” high. Please no tunic over leggings, flip flops or backless shoes. Boys are required to wear a tradional suit or sport coat and e. Shirts should be tucked in and shoes appropriate for dancing. Please no sneakers, boots, cargo pants or no showsocks. Enrollment is $245 (includes dinner on April 24 th ). Registraon is determined on a first-come, first-served basis. Registraon is limited based on maximum numbers and an equal rao of boys to girls. We encourage you to register early.
