Masters vs. PhD

Clinical psychologist with PhD. -70,000

Clinical psychologist with Masters – 70,000

Professor – 70,000 with advanced degree

School Counselor – 58,000 with MA

School Counselor – Not possible without at least a masters

Genetics counselor - $75,000 wow! Inform families on genetic disorders, but often a dual degree in genetics and counseling is needed

Forensic psychologist – $68,000 – very cool, but knowledge of psychology and criminal justice is needed which means more time devoted to education.

How to proceed?

GRADUATE SCHOOL IS A MUST

Not a huge difference btw masters and PhD, but to be a therapist, a PhD is a better option.

Although living in Winston is all around cheaper, you can make more money as a clinical psychologist in NYC.

Also, my family is in NYC, so it makes a lot of sense to go home!
