Speaker Bio: David Dinhofer, MD

David Dinhofer, MD, MSMI, FACR is board certified in both Radiology and Medical Informatics. Dinhofer chose to change his focus to Medical Informatics because he believes using the tools of Informatics is the best way to improve health care. Dr. Dinhofer is currently the CEO of Advanced Medical Imaging and Informatics, a consulting firm located in the NYC area.

Speaker Bio: Layth Dahbour Layth Dahbour just completed a summer internship with the HIMSS Congressional Affairs team. Currently, he is a second year medical student at the University of Toledo College of Medicine. Before attending medical school, Layth graduated from the University of Michigan—Ann Arbor with a dual degree in Political Science and Biomolecular Science. During his time at HIMSS he worked on policy projects that focused on the return-on-investment of interoperability and telehealth. He hopes to carry on these projects throughout his career as well as advocate for increased HIT exposure throughout medical education.

Speaker Bio: Naveed Farrukh, MPH

Naveed Farrukh is a 2nd year medical student at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine. His prior educational experience includes a dual four year program in which he obtained his Bachelors of Neuroscience and MPH with a concentration in Health Policy. Naveed just completed a summer internship at the Institute of e-Health Policy under the HIMSS Government Relations Federal Affairs Team. During his time, he focused on the value in interoperability, a cross-industry analysis, writing Health IT Policy Updates, and a policy brief on challenges in developing and implementing eCQMs. In the future, he hopes to act as a clinician champion for Informatics on a policy level.
