are three

climates areas

in the world.

●a). THE WARM ZONE is located between

the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of

Capricorn, including the Equator zone.

●b). Two TEMPLATE ZONES located

between the tropics and the polar circles.

●c). Two COLD AREAS located in the two

poles.

THE EARTH.THE HOT ZONE. Average temperature over

20º grades all the year.

EQUATORIAL CLIMATE

●. Features:

●It rains a lot and it is

always hot. It rains over

2000 litres and has an

average temperature

over 20º grades.

●Landscape: jungle and

tropical rainforest. A lot

of species of animals and

plants.

In this climate rains a lot

and regularly along the

●TROPICAL CLIMATE

●Features:

●Too hot and there are two seasons: rainy season and dry season. Dry season could be from three months to nine months depending on the area.

●Landscape: savanna. (animals such as lions, giraffes, ostriches, zebras).

Temperatures are warm. Precipitation

more than 1000 litres. There are two

seasons: rainy and dry. If rainy season is

about 9 months the climate is Tropical

Humid; if dry season is more than 6 months

the climate is Tropical Dry.

OCEANIC CLIMATE.

●Features:

●It rains a lot and regularly during the whole year.

●Temperatures are very mild during all the seasons.

●Landscape: forest of oaks, beech trees chestnuts, …

MEDITERRANEAN CLIMATE

●Features:

●It rains mostly in Autumn, Winter and Spring. During the summer it does't usually rain: drought.

●Temperatures are soft during autumn, winter and spring and very hot during the summer.

●Landscape: mediterranean forest (holm oak, pines, aromatic plants as thyme, rosemary, …).

ZONES OF THE EARTH

usually frozen.

it usually snows.

Most of the year temperatures are

below zero. If 12 months are

below zero the climate is Polar, if

there are j2-3 months above zero

the climate is Polar Tundra. Animales como: zorros, lobos, osos,

renos, liebres árticas, buhos árticos.

ZONE OF THE EARTH: THE IBERIAN PENINSULA.

●The climate is the result of a few elements as:oRain: in Spain it rains more in the north than in the south. oTemperatures: temperatures are higher in the south than

in the north.

●In Spain there are several types of weather:

●Area: north and north-west of

the Iberian Peninsula.

●It rains a lot during all seasons.

●Temperatures are mild.

●Landscape: oak forest, beech

trees, meadows,etc.

●Area: south and east of the Iberian Peninsula and the Balearic Islands.

●Summers are hot and during the winter temperatures are very soft.

●Little rain. It usually rains during autumn and spring.

CLIMATE. ●Area: the centre of the Iberian

Peninsula.

Typical Mediterranean Climate

in winter and very hot in

summer.

holm oak.

the year.

Iberian peninsula: Pyrenees,

Betic Mountains, Iberian

System, Central System, etc.
