Intro: Today’s Solemnity is sometimes considered “feast of devotion”. The word feast is used here to simply indicate a joyful observance on the Church’s calendar. It is used to some of the solemnities of Lord during Ordinary Time.
First Reading: Ex 34:4b-6, 8-9 This is taken from the book of Exodus and recounts the revelation of the Lord by the proclamation of his name to Moses. There the Lord claims the divine attributes of mercy, graciousness, kindness and faithfulness.
Second Reading: 2 Cor 13: 11-13 Paul uses the Triune salutation, which is one of the options for the opening greeting by the celebrant at Mass.
Gospel: Jn 3:16-18 The attributes given in the first reading are shown and summed up in the declaration of Jesus in John’s account of the Gospel. We hear one of the most well-known verses of scripture; God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son.

Is your love conditional? Is there a price other have to pay to receive your love? Are you generous with your time, money and possessions? If you give someone something, do you expect something in return? Do you give your time freely or do you “fit it in” when it’s convenient for you? Pray for a grateful and generous heart.

Celebration of Masses at Our Lady of Grace Daily: Monday - Friday—9:00 AM Saturday: 4:00 PM Sunday: 8:00 AM, 10:30 AM and 12:30 PM (Spanish)
In celebrating Mass, we at all times will observe established coronavirus safety protocols, such as physical distancing, disinfecting surfaces, sanitizing hands, etc. Your utmost understanding and cooperation will be appreciated. Volunteers will be needed to help disinfect surfaces between Masses, especially after the 8 and 10:30 a.m. Sunday Masses. To volunteer, contact a hospitality minister or the parish office.
In addition to celebrating Masses with the congregation present in church, we will livestream Sunday Masses at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. This will enable parishioners in their homes to participate in the Liturgy at Our Lady of Grace. Coronavirus protocols limit church occupancy to 50 percent, so overflow will be directed to the PLC to watch Mass on a screen there. During Masses streamlined to the PLC, Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist will distribute Holy Communion there at Communion-time.
Masses will be livestreamed via the Our Lady of Grace Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com OurLadyOfGraceBeverlyHillsFL/). There also will be a hotlink to Masses on the Our Lady of Grace
website (https://ourladyofgracefl.org/.Please call the parish office (352-746-2144) with any questions or concerns.

Public Sunday Mass Celebrations at Our Lady of Grace
Welcome back to the public celebration of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass! Please be patient while we all adjust to our new guidelines that will help keep us all safe and healthy. These guidelines are also subject to change as the situation warrants. · Stay home if you are part of a vulnerable population, ill, anxious or have underlying health conditions. Bishop Parkes has dispensed all Catholics in the Diocese of St. Petersburg from their Sunday Mass obligation until further notice.
· Maintain six feet of physical distance from others who are not from the same household while in the church or on church property.
· Please only use the main entrance or the handicapped entrance. A hospitality minister will open the door, so you do not have to touch it. Pews will be marked off to maintain appropriate physical distancing. Hospitality ministers will direct people to open seats. Please follow directions.
· Please be patient as we restrict attendance at Mass in church to no more than a 50% capacity. If you arrive after we reach capacity a hospitality minister will ask you to come back to Mass on another day or perhaps join the over-flow (available for the 4 PM Vigil and the 10:30 Sunday mass) in the PLC Hall where communion will be brought to you by a Eucharistic Minister and mass will be streamed on a screen.
· When you arrive at a pew, please fill in the MIDDLE seats first to avoid having people climb over you as they arrive later. If a hospitality minister asks you to move to the middle, please follow directions.
· Use a face mask or face covering. Masks are not optional. We wear masks during this pandemic to help protect people around us.
· Refrain from physical contact, such as holding hands during the Our Father or the sign of peace.
· Due to difficulty in accessing hand sanitizer for bulk usage, we ask the parishioners to strongly consider bringing their own personal supply of hand sanitizer with them to mass and use it before and after receiving Communion.
· During communion, we ask that you keep a 6-foot distance in the communion line. Please stand on the mark and move forward as the space is vacated. Holy Communion will only be distributed on the hand to protect the priest, eucharistic ministers and your fellow parishioners. Replace your mask after receiving communion. Communion will only be distributed under one species.
· There will be an Offertory Collection box located by the Paschal Candle in front of the ambo, at the back of the church by the main entrance, and in the East Wing. Prayerfully consider placing your offertory envelopes in this box as you enter church or as you leave mass. You may also give via your bank if you use online banking or through the diocesan website at: https://www.dosp.org/stewardship/supporting-your-parish/. This link and directions are also available through the Our Lady of Grace website, FaceBook and in the bulletin.
· As we exit the church, please remember to keep an appropriate amount of space between people. We know we have not seen each other in a while, and it is tempting to linger and socialize but try to do so outside or in more open areas to maintain physical distancing. Please follow the directions of the hospitality ministers as they usher you out.
· If you can wipe down the area you were seated in, please do so. The church will also sanitize the areas in between masses. To ensure that we can do this efficiently between masses, volunteers who can stay and help Moses and Vinny after mass would be very welcome. If you feel that you can do this, please contact the office staff, and let them know.
· Please refrain from using the restrooms unless it is an absolute emergency. Remember that this is new to everyone and we are all trying to keep each other safe and healthy so that we may continue enjoying community and celebrating together. Extend grace and patience to each other, including to the lay ministers and your fellow parishioners. Be mindful and considerate of all those around you. Welcome back!

Spiritual Communion Prayer
My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love you above all things and I desire to receive you in my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment receive you sacramentally,
Come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace you as if you were already there And unite myself wholly to you.
Never permit me to be separated from you. Amen.
Thanks to each and every one of you who continues to support our parish through observance of safety procedures in an effort to keep everyone safe and healthy.
Sunday Gospel Reflections from Bishop Parkes
Sunday, June 7, 2020 Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity
Our Belief in the Holy Trinity
This weekend we celebrate the solemnity of the Holy Trinity - God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Trying to understand the Holy Trinity is a mystery, yet it’s a fundamental teaching of our Catholic faith that we profess each Sunday when we come to Mass.
The belief in God and the relationship to his son, Jesus Christ, is found in undoubtedly the one of the most often quoted scripture verses in the
bible, John 3:16, “God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life.” This scripture continues in verse 17, “for God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world but that the world might be saved through him.”
The Jews feared a vengeful God, a God that would smite their enemies and punish all that disobeyed the laws given to Moses and those added by the religious leaders over time. All God wants is to love us and invite us into a loving and personal relationship with Him that engages our heart, soul, mind and strength – in other words our whole being. And He commands us to love one another. We accept this belief as our baptismal call and recommit ourselves in the Sacrament of Confirmation when we receive an outpouring of the Holy Spirit – the third person of the Trinity.
Our belief in the Holy Trinity – One God in three persons – leads us to begin our prayers by making the sign of the cross and saying, “in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.”
Do you have a personal relationship with God? With Jesus Christ? With the Holy Spirit? Though we may not be able to fully understand the mystery of the Trinity, I invite you to open your heart to the love and mercy of God, and invite the Holy Spirit to guide you in all parts of your life.
- Bishop Gregory Parkes
HELP NEEDED:
Should you have some secretarial skills, computer knowledge and email we need YOU. The Parish Pastoral Council meets on
the last Thursday of each month at 4:00 and is seeking a person to record and email the minutes. You will have no other responsibilities, only that of recording secretary. Please call the parish office (746-2144) if you are interested in helping. Thank you.
Welcome Fr. Joy Colina!
Last March, the Pastoral Center of the Diocese of St. Petersburg announced the transfer of residence of Jose “Joy” Colina, from St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, in Homosassa to Our Lady of Grace Parish in Beverly Hills, Florida.
Welcome Fr. Joy! Feel at home with us. Fr. Joy is on non-parochial assignment here in our parish as he is assigned in the Pastoral Center. With the proper understanding from Bishop Parkes, Fr. Joy will be with us until his next assignment is ready.
Fr. Joy will be available for celebrating masses, answering sick calls and hearing confessions. Let us provide him with an environment for a fruitful ministry. May he find his ministerial priesthood helpful and meaningful for all.
Fr. Erwin

CARES Act Provides New Tax Deduction For Charitable Contributions in 2020
By Roger Michels, MBA, CPA Member of the Parish Finance Council
The recent Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act, also known as the CARES Act, has created a new deduction for charitable contributions. A maximum of $300 for single filers and $600 for a joint return may be deducted in addition to the standard deduction. (Filers who itemize deductions cannot avail themselves of this provision.) The effect is to increase the standard deduction by the above noted amounts. Note that contributions below the stated maximums also qualify. No guidance has been issued regarding documentation; however, it is wise to track your contributions for the current year. This is an additional tax-motivated means of supporting Our Lady of Grace Parish!!! Upon request and before 2020 taxes are due, the parish office will provide you a record of your contributions to Our Lady of Grace Church.
Just a friendly reminder… with the resumption of Public Masses, please review the checklist below before deciding to
join us for Mass. Thank you!
