sealmatte & breeZ bn201is a durable NON-VOC visible film providing superior adhesion to a variety of surfaces. The

sealers provides the base needed to extend the life of the release coating and will allow

optimal performance from the release coating. SEALMATTE & BREEZ BN201 when applied

and dried properly provides a durable matte or medio glossy surface. Applying 2 coats

of Watershield or Enviroshield release agents provide multiple releases yielding the part.

SEALMATTE or BREEZ BN201 when used in combination with our water-based cleaner,

“Waterclean” , and our solvent-free, waterbased release agents, such as Breez Release

BN302, Watershield or Enviroshield, can provide a solvent-free release system. These Seal-

ers are developed especially to the aircraft- and windpower-industry. The BreeZ sealer is

based on a new, stronger waterbased polymer. Water-content: 81-90 %.

Watercleanhas been developed to provide an environmentally safe and effective waterbased alterna-

tive to solvent washing for the removal of surface contaminants. WATERCLEAN is non-

hazardous, non-flammable and won´t harm the surface. WATERCLEAN eliminates sanding

and/or solvent washing when preparing parts for painting, bonding or other processes

that require a completely clean surface. For a totally solvent-free mould cleaner, use WA-

TERCLEAN. NOTE: Waterclean removes both Slipcoats & Sealers - the mould should be

treated as a new mould, with Sealer and Slipcoats.

release. It is a high performance polymer coating created to give multiple releases while exceed-

ing the most demanding environmental requirements. WATER SHIELD can be used in most

moulding operations. Water Shield has a watercontents of 90-92%. As prior mentioned using

Zyvax water-based materials will eliminate odor and reduce the need to use masks, gloves or

installing costly fume extraction systems required with traditional solvent based products. Slip-

effect: high release Water contents: 90-92%. Slipcoat No. 4.

enviroshieldis, like Water Shield, a versatile, odorless and NON VOC release agent. ENVIROSHIELD

is recommended for applications requiring multiple releases, superior surface finish with

high gloss and easy touch-up for seamless production cycles. ENVIROSHIELD has a wa-

tercontents of 96-98%. ENVIROSHIELD is formulated for large moulds, and moulds where

items are easy to demould.

silvershield 320is an odorless 100% water-based, NON-VOC specialty release agent. SILVERSHIELD

320 is designed primarily for use as a semi-permanent sealer/release coating for parts

that require good lay-up adhesion. SILVERSHIELD 320 can also be applied directly on

top of the Zyvax Water Shield & Enviroshield release agents to improve surface adhe-

sion for low tack prepregs or sealant tapes.

Zyvax solvent-based release systema new generation of semi-permanent release agents

The Semi-Permanent, solventbased Release Agents are Thermal

stabile up to 480 C., which increases the possibility for the use of

release coats in many different production-environments. Granudan

recommends the solventbased release system to customers, who

likes to minimize their working hours on mould-preparation, and –on

the same time –like to obtain as many de-mouldings as possible.

This type of customer often has a high continuously production of

small and large items.

The flexibility in the Zyvax release program, makes it possible to

create a release system with the benefits of both the solventbased

and waterbased release products. Many customers are today us-

ing the Sealer GP and perhaps Multi Shield to create a good bond-

ing and VERY strong film on the mould surface –then for daily use

and “Touch-up” they only apply the waterbased, solvent-free release

coat (WaterShield/EnviroShield). This way you still keep a good

working environment for your employees in daily production, but still

obtain a very reliable, solid release coat system.

The traditional solvent-based coats are of course stronger then the

solvent-free products, and give our customers a higher yielding ca-

pacity, and more de-mouldings before re-application is necessary.

prior to treatment with Zyvax Mould Conditioners and Release Agents. It readily removes waxes and

other surface contaminants without harming or dulling the working surfaces of the mold. SURFACE

CLEANER will also clean brushes and spay equipment used to apply various release products and

elastomeric materials. (For NON-VOC cleaner please note WATER CLEAN)

sealer Gpis a high modulus, clear, flexible film with subtrate adhesion that forms a protective shield on the

mould or tool surface. As a conditioner, SEALER GP is designed to treat both the chemical and physi-

cal bonding sites found on every “raw” mould surface. In addition, SEALER GP provides the base

moulding materials in industries requiring assured contamination free fail-safe processing. It also

• The Sealers creates a durable and resilient polymeric coating on the mould surface and

works therefore as a mechanical protection to the mould-surface.

• The Sealers eliminate bonding to the mould in case of surface-porosity.

• The Sealers protect the mould-surface against styrene attack, and thereby extends the

lifetime of the mould considerably.

• A good mould sealer is the best insurance against damages caused by resin chemical

bonding.

• The Sealers work like a primer to the ZYVAX slipcoats.

* WaterShield can be replaced with EnviroShield for all situations where exceptionally high slip releases are not required, and to prevent pre-release issues. However, with no use of gelcoat in epoxy productions we recommend WaterShield.

* SilverShield 320 can be applied directly on top of either the EnviroShield or WaterShield products (without any other preparation) to improve the mold surface tack level – especially important when working on complex geometry parts with low tack prepregs.

sprayMops (versa plus / pace)Granudan recommends - and distributes the Johnson Diversey TASKI Versa Plus and Pace spraymops with the purpose of minimiz-

ing the time of application, improve measuring and control of consumption, higher consistency with a uniform

coating and an optimized working position in the big blade-moulds.

The Taski Versa Plus or Pace mop is the perfect sprayable mop for use in the WTG industry. It allows the

worker to measure and control the exact amount of liquid used for each blade-mould. Very efficient and no

waste of products.

After filling the bottle with liquid, simply place the bottle on the

shaft, and create a vacuum by pulling the tap up and down!

By pushing the bottom on the top of the shaft, it allows the liquid

to spray in front of the mop.

The mop is easy to clean, and you can buy different colors of bot-

tles for each different product to be applied. E.g. a green bottle for

Sealer and a Blue bottle for Release agent Remember 1 can only

for cleaning purpose.

Abrasives with ProfileChoosing the correct Profile compound to use is important. It will depend

on the surface to be polished and the level of finish required but also the

grade of abrasive paper used immediately prior to compounding. The

table to the right gives a guide as to what depth of scratch each Profile

grade is capable of removing.

SurfacesProfile can be used to compound many different types of surface so to

select the best system it is important to understand what type of surface

is being compounded. The two characteristics that are most important

in this respect are how hard the surface is and how tough it is. The

harder and tougher the surface is the more difficult it is to compound.

The charts to the right give a guide as to some of the common types of

surface and how to select the best system for compounding.

Profile 200XL and finish with Profile 300 or Profile 500 if

faces. It will remove P600 dry sanding marks or P800-P1000 wet

and dry abrasive paper marks from most substrates.

compounding of, Vinyl Ester, Epoxy resins and Gel Coats; Solid Sur-

faces, Artificial marble and many other industrial surfaces. Designed

to be used on its own or as part of a two-step process it is very versa-

tile it will remove P1000 dry sanding marks or P1200 wet and dry

abrasive paper marks from most substrates.
