Brussels, 16/11/2015

The Executive Director of Clean Sky 2 JU hereby launches the written procedure in accordance

with the Rules of Procedure of the Governing Board on the Decision of the Governing Board

approving the Ranking Lists of the selected proposals of the Call for Core Partners Wove 2 with a

view to conducting the negotiations.

The approval is done through written procedure. The deadline set in accordance with the Rules

of procedure is14th

of December 2015. However, since 75% of the rankings were ready since

mid-October, due to no hearings needed, the JU aims and kindly requests to receive the GB

members’ replies by the 30° of November 2015 in order to be able to inform the applicants

early December.

Decision of the Governing Board approving the Ranking Lists of the selected

proposals of the Call for Core Partners Wave 2 with a view to conducting the

negotiations

THE GOVERNING BOARD OF THE CLEAN SKY 2 JOINT UDERTAKING,

Having regard to the Council Regulation (EC) No 558/2014 of 6 May 2014 on the establishment

of the “Clean Sky 2 Joint Undertaking”;

Having regard to the Statutes of the Clean Sky 2 Joint Undertaking annexed to Council

Regulation (EC) No 558/2014 of 6 May 2014 and in particular Articles 4.2, 8.2 (a), (n) and 10.5

(b);

Having regard to the Clean Sky 2 JU Work Plan 2014-2015 and its General Annexes as adopted

by the Governing Board and published;

Having regard to the Clean Sky 2 JU Rules for submission, evaluation, selection, award and

review procedures of Calls for Core Partners (hereinafter referred to as “Rules for submission”)

as approved by the Board and published;

Having regard to the results of the evaluation of the Call for Core Partners and the ranking lists

of the selected applicants per topic following the independent evaluation as properly

documented by the Clean Sky 2 JU and annexed to the present Decision;

WHEREAS:

1) The Clean Sky 2 JU Leaders as listed in Annex II of the Statutes are represented in the

Governing Board;

2) Any potential conflict of interest with respect to the selection of Core Partners under the

above mentioned call has been duly considered in the selection phase of the call;

3) It is necessary for the successful execution of the Clean Sky 2 Programme to achieve a

timely accession of the Core Partners as Members of the Clean Sky 2 iU;

4) It is necessary for the successful execution of the Clean Sky 2 Programme to promptly start

and efficiently conduct the negotiations with the top ranked applicants in accordance with

the ranking lists following the independent evaluation;

5) The experience gained in Clean Sky JU operating under 7th Framework Programme should

be taken into due account with respect to reaching a timely and successful conclusion of

the negotiation phase to determine the contributions and integrate the successful

applicants into the Programme;

Clean Sky6) The Executive Director supported by the Programme Office has a pivotal and neutral

position with respect to the stakeholders of the Clean Sky 2 JU, and is responsible for

managing the calls and ensuring compliance with the Work Plan and the Rules for

submission across the negotiations with the applicants as Core Partners;

HAS DECIDED:

Article 1

The Ranking Lists of the Call for Core Partners C52-CPWO2-2015-O1 as annexed to this

decision are hereby approved.

Article 2

The negotiations shall be conducted under the management of the Executive Director, with

the involvement of the concerned Leaders. They shall be governed by the spirit of

cooperation and conducted in good faith.

Article 3

This decision shall enter into force on the date of its adoption.
