the item from the child. Also, please be sure to give all families a chance toparticipate. Thanks!!
This year we have 18 students in our class. Please prepare for at least
that many students.
For each party the students will have a treat to eat and an activity (oractivities) to participate in. I have prepared a list of items needed for thetreat. If you are in charge of the party, please contact parents from ourclass to see who would be willing to bring in the items and write their nameacross from the item. With respect to the activity/activities, I haveattached a list of possible choices. Whoever is in charge of the party candecide whether they would like to do one of these activities as a whole
group, or do several in center like settings. Please let me know if there arethings you need for the party activity/activities. We have many craftsupplies here at the school that can be put to use.
Once you have contacted parents for the party, please write theirnames down on the chart and then indicate what activity/activities, you planon for the party (circle the activity; or activities if you plan on doing centeractivities). If there is a different activity that you would like to do pleasecontact me and we can make plans! Just keep in mind that each party willlast approximately 45 minutes. Please send the sheet in to school with yourchild upon completion. If you have any questions please do not hesitate tocontact me!! Thanks!

Halloween Activities
1. Tim Bit on String- We will tie a Tim Bit to a string and hang it from a door frame.
This will be done on two door frames so students can compete. Children will beblindfolded and asked to try to eat the donut without using their hands. They can
compete to see who can eat it quicker. (Additional Tim Bits would have to bepurchased for this race, not the ones listed in the chart above).
2. Goo Race (Outdoors)- We need two cauldrons and two buckets for this race. Thestudents are divided into two teams. In each bucket there is a mixture of one partwater, 4 parts cornstarch. Students use their hands to scoop the Goo from thebucket and race to the cauldron. Students race to see who can fill their cauldron
the most in a certain time limit.
3. What is That?!?! In covered containers we place different objects for thestudents to feel and try to identify. Ideas are wet, squishy tomato, peeled grapes,
Jello jigglers, dried apricots, wet spaghetti, soft tortilla with oil on it.
4. Whos the Ghost- Divide the students into two groups. One group remains in theclass while the other group goes in the hallway. Select one student from the hallwaygroup to wear a white sheet and pretend to be a ghost. The whole group goes backinside and the group that was inside has to try to guess the identity of the ghost.
5. Eyeball Bounce Game- Paint two ping pong balls to look like eyes. Students breakin two teams and take turns bouncing the eyeball into a fake pumpkin or cauldron.

While the child is trying to unwrap, theother students are still passing the dice, trying to be the next student who
rolls doubles. If they are, they will switch with the child in the middle.Whoever unwraps the box completely will be able to get the candy treat
that is inside. (You can just put a candy cane or something inside).
2. Shoveling Snow- Students sit at desk with a bowl and a pile of cotton balls infront of them. Before starting, each child will have a dab of Vaseline put on
their nose. They will use the Vaseline to try to transport as manysnowballs into the bowl in one minute. No hands!!!
3. Pass the Present- For this game each child will need a small wrapped gift. The students will sit in a circle on the ground and listen to a story read bythe teacher. Every time they hear the word left or right, the studentswill have to pass the gift in that direction. Whatever gift they are holding

For this trip, each of the level one classes will be walking to the WoodenPlayground for a day of fun in the sun.
Our class will leave the school around 10:00 to walk to the playground. I ask
that all homeroom parents please meet us at the playground so that you canarrive around 9:30 to set up tables and food. While there are a couple of picnictables, any additional tables that parents might be willing to bring to the park
are welcome. Our main meal today will be sheet pizzas however, below are items that we willneed in addition to the pizzas. We will also need someone who will be able toorder the pizzas and either pick them up or pay the delivery man upon arrival. In the past, we have used the classroom party money to purchase the pizzas.
We can do this again if that is what you would like to do, otherwise, we will haveto collect additional money from parents.
