Transforma1on from Sheet to Cap
• The aluminum coil is straightened and cut into sheets of different sizes, as per requirement.
• Aluminum sheets of thickness .19, .21, .23, .26 mm are used to make caps.
• .19 mm sheets are usually used to make small and shallow caps.
• .21 and above dimension sheets are usually used to make deep caps.
![Page 7: Classic caps presentation](https://reader031.vdocuments.site/reader031/viewer/2022030207/58a797b71a28ab5f6c8b6347/html5/thumbnails/7.jpg)

• MTO washing is done on both sides, to clean the sheet from any previous oil stains and other impuri1es. The sheet is passed through oven at 1750 C for 12 minutes, to complete the process.

• Lacquering is done to the side where inside content will be in contact. This creates a layer doesn’t allow content to react with aluminum. The sheet is passed through oven again at a temperature of 175 0C for 12 minutes, to strengthen the lacquer layer.
• Sizing of aluminum sheet is done on the printable side, to prepare the sheet for prin1ng and to ensure that the inks and coa1ng adhere with the sheet. The sheet is then passed through the oven at 2100 C temperature, for 12 minutes.
![Page 10: Classic caps presentation](https://reader031.vdocuments.site/reader031/viewer/2022030207/58a797b71a28ab5f6c8b6347/html5/thumbnails/10.jpg)
• Coa<ng is done as per requirement on the surface that will get printed. The sheet is then dried at a temperature of 1750 C for 12 minutes, to get the effect.
• The sized side of the sheet is then printed using an offset prin<ng machine. It is then dried in an oven at 1750 C for 12 minutes.
