Types Of Sentences

Statements- When a sentence tells us something, it is called a statement. A statement always ends with a full stop(.) For Example: Seema is reading a book.

Commands- When a sentence gives an order, it is called a command. A command always ends with a full stop(.) For Example: Drink the milk quickly.

Request- When a sentence asks us to do something in a polite manner, it is called a request. A request always ends with a full stop(.) For Example: Please shut the door

Questions- When a sentence asks something, it is called a question. A question always ends with a question mark (?) For Example: Where are you going?

Exclamatory sentence- When a sentence expresses a strong feeling, it is called an exclamatory sentence. An exclamatory sentence ends with an exclamation mark (!) For Example: What a beautiful flower !
