What types of activities should I do?

Easy Does It Class Timetable

There is no single exercise that best suits everyone. Choose an activity you enjoythat fits in your life style.AEROBIC EXERCISEAerobic exercise uses large muscle groups repetitively for a period of time. It involves raising the heart rate so that the heart works harder to pump blood through the body. It’s particularly good for your heart health.RESISTANCE/STRENGTH EXERCISEResistance exercise helps strengthen muscles, bones and joints. It’s a good activity especially if you have or are at risk of bone-thinning problems.FLEXIBILITY EXERCISE Having flexible joints is important as it helps prevent injury. Simple stretching exercises can be a good way to start exercise.BALANCE EXERCISEThe focus of balance training is teaching the brain how to quickly activate the right muscles at the right time to keep you upright.

The Easy Does it classes are suitable for all ages, shapes and sizes and are a fun sociable way to add variety to your exercise routine and meet new friends. If you want to get fit, lose weight or are recovering from an illness or injury you’ll find the perfect class for you with Oldham Community Leisure.
