Furthermore, I have extensive representational skills and proficiency in the conventional array of Graphic design and presentation programs such as Illustrator, Photoshop, and PowerPoint among others. For your review, I have enclosed a Résumé along with a collated selection of the aforementioned sample drawings and images from my Portfolio, giving an idea of my potential, while exhibiting the range of my technical and artistic design and drafting skills alongside my experience in the various levels of architectural design, documentation and visualization. Dear Sir,

RE: APPLICATION FOR THE POSITION OF ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNER

I hereby formally apply for the position of Architectural Designer at your firm, in the event of any current or potential future openings.

I am a graduate of the Southern California Institute of Architecture, from the Master of Architecture (M.Arch. II) Program, and a graduate of the McGill

University School of Architecture in Montreal, Quebec, for my undergraduate studies in Architecture (B.Sc. Arch). In addition to my educational background, I

possess technical skills and corresponding architectural work experience, which, I believe would suite the functions and duties at the aforementioned

position and enable me to make an invaluable contribution at your firm

During my most recent professional work experiences I worked at MINARC Architecture and Design firm (www.minarc.com) in Santa Monica (2008-2009),

where I was also involved in the production of Design and Construction documentation, computer visualizations and renderings for projects ranging from

residential, civic and competitions for International projects. I worked there on both a part-time basis during the school year and on a full-time engagement

during the past summer. Prior to that and to the start of my graduate studies in Los Angeles in 2007, I worked with Aedifica Architecture and Design

(www.aedifica.com) based in Montreal, Canada, also as an architectural designer, but with more varied roles and on a wider range of project types from

retail and commercial projects, to corporate headquarters as well as residential and civic projects. Prior to that, upon completion of my undergraduate

studies, I served in the position of architectural intern and designer on a full time basis, at Bobrow Architects in Montreal, Canada, between 2003 and 2006 -

in varied roles ranging from concept development and the production of presentation renderings to working drawings and construction documentation

production, for various projects tackled. The project types at the firm were mostly based on Healthcare, Medical research, Institutional/Civic and Residential

projects. Most recently in 2010 I have been working with Kenneth Park Architects based out of New York but at their Los Angeles office doing mostly retail

projects with tasks ranging from site surveys, preparation of As-built layouts for Demo plans, as well as in the preparation of Design and Construction

documentation.

I recently moved back to Canada after the completion of my Graduate studies in the US, and specifically back to the West Coast following my

Undergraduate studies back East in Montreal and my initial work experience there.

In all four firms I have worked at, I have participated in the inception of designs from Concept Design right through to Construction Documentation, via the

use of architectural documentation, BIM and Design software such as AutoCAD, ArchiCAD , Revit, SketchUp and Rhino3D as well as the production of

visualizations and renderings through 3DS Max, Maya, through Vray, MentalRay, Maxwell and Artlantis, as exhibited in the sample projects images in my

sample portfolio. Furthermore, I have extensive representational skills and proficiency in the conventional array of Graphic design and presentation programs

such as Illustrator, Photoshop, and PowerPoint among others.

For your review, I have enclosed a Résumé along with a collated selection of the aforementioned sample drawings and images from my Portfolio, giving an

idea of my potential, while exhibiting the range of my technical and artistic design and drafting skills alongside my experience in the various levels of

architectural design, documentation and visualization. If you require any additional information or material, please do not hesitate to let me know at your

convenience.

Should you have a suitable opening at your firm for the aforementioned position, I would most certainly welcome an opportunity to further discuss in person,

the contribution that I could potentially, and would ideally, like to make at your firm.

With the utmost appreciation for your time and consideration,

Sincerely,
