Pump Unloading – Manifold and Valve Operation

During pump unloading, the appropriate manifold and valve is selectedto allow the flow of fuel into the collection tubes, through the pumpand then dispensed through the meter and hose.

Manifold Valve

The air activated manifold chamber is adouble-acting cylinder assembly thatguarantees valve opening/closing everytime. Its closed loop pneumatic systemkeeps debris from entering the valve.The manifold chamber open/closestatus is clearly indicated by a “red”indicator visible through thetransparent lens located on the top ofeach manifold valve.

Manifold Galleries

Two different fuel types can bedispensed from the same vehicle bysimply selecting between the twoindependent manifold galleries. The airactivation system only allows onemanifold to be opened at any time.Themanifold galleries are specific to eitherthe gasoline or the diesel PTO andpump, this means that the manifoldchambers are discriminate dependingon the fuel selected to ensure that crosscontamination is never a problem.

Civacon’s Petroleum Manhole Covers are the perfect choice for all of your Petroleum cargo tank applications. Our Manhole Covers are ideal for use in new construction, or as a replacement cover for all DOT406 and older MC306 cargo tanks. They meet HM183 replacement requirements and 178.364-10 venting requirements. They’re precision design and construction limits leakage in a roll-over situation to less than one liter, as required by standards. Each features a versatile 10'' aluminum vent, which is set to open at not less than 3.63PSI, and, if needed, can be safely and easily disassembled for field repairs. This durability is a result of light weight polymers used for the horizontally posi-tioned vacuum poppets. Vibration tests shows this design to last 10 times longer than current vents avail-able today. Protection... The NV3000 meets DOT406 and MC306 standards for rollover protection and has been designed to pass the California Resources Board (CARB) tests. Purpose... This new vacuum relieving system features an addi-tional vacuum poppet for greater flow and reliability. These poppets are strategically placed on the side body and located in a shielded bore to protect against damage due to high impact from trailer bounce and surge forces of the petroleum product being trans-ported. T195SV & T196SV Vapor Recovery Vent

Civacon’s Vapor Recovery Vent has improved flow along with pressure drop reduction. This design is retro-fittable and has a new rotation feature. The Civacon T195SV & T196SV Vapor Re-covery Vents are designed and tested to take the punishment of the temperature range rated at -40ºF to 160ºF (-40C to 71C). A new cap design threads into the top of the vent al-lows for a better seal and corrosion free de-sign.

The new design retrofits the current 1985SV and 1986SV. The presence of a locking ring prevents additional leak paths that were cre-ated by the bolt on feature of the previous 1985SV. The locking ring allows more free-dom for mounting the vent, you are no longer restricted to the normal TTMA bolt pattern.

Seals have been improved to be more com-patible with chemicals that could potentially come into contact with them.

Civacon has a full range of Vapor Recovery Adaptors for all installations that offers Real World Durability that Exceed Industry Standards. Civacon’s Vapor Recovery Adaptors are built to API Standards and offer a full range of features to meet all applications and installation. The Model 610 (non-poppeted) and Model 611 (poppeted) series adaptors provide the compact installation size and ease of installation needed for tank truck installations where high loading rates of multiple compartments are not required. Available in 4-inch NPT threaded or TTMA flanged mounting styles, with or without a Bubble Sight-Glass, we have one to meet your exact needs. The Model 633LVB is the highest flowing, lowest backpressure vapor recovery connection available. The 633LVB Vapor Adaptor also features a Bubble Sight-Glass to clearly indicate to the operator if there is any condensed liquid vapor inside the adaptor and vapor recovery header. The Civacon Model GS1000 SAF-T Ground Bolt Kit includes our Ground Verification Bolt for use on Tankers that load at Terminals where the Loading Rack Monitor requires a special modified signal as part of their ground verification operation. The Civacon Model GS1000 SAF-T Ground Bolt is a direct replacement of other similar Ground Bolts, and fully compatible with all Loading Rack Monitors that require this type of device. For proper operation, it MUST be securely fastened to the tanker chassis, and wired to Pin No. 9 of the Overfill Detection Sockets) to provide proper ground verification.
