and civil players in Italy and Europe.

Before implementation of C Line Subway Rome Project the contractor was asked by
Autorities to test the behavior of the overall System (Train, Infrastructure ) in case of
Fire.
To fullfil the requirement an appropriate simulation Site was Built up at
Montelibretti Tunnel .
The Company provided :

Automatic Platform Doors Line C of the Rome Metro Construction of automatic platform gates (lenght m 110) for 24 railway stations
The Automatic Platform Doors solution allows to achieve full
separation between the platform and the line:
the purpose is to increase passenger safety, since they will fully
prevent people from accessing the tunnels and the rail way.
Moreover, it will enhance the comfort of the passengers at the
station, by protecting them against the heavy air flow inside the
tunnel.
The doors system is controlled by the ATC system and will be
opened only concurrently with the opening of the train doors, when
the train stops at the station.

The term " platform automatic gates subsystem" indicates the set of physical separation between the on station platform And Railway.
The ASD are installed along the platform in such a way as to be aligned with the train doors when the train stops in the station in the correct position.
The operator in the main control room checks the state of the platform automatic gates subsystem through the SCADA system
The platform automatic gates subsystems are connected to the SCADA ASD switchboard through an Ethernet cable.
