Podravje – This area includes the wider region around the Drava River; in the northeast part of Slovenia. Guests to the region can behold its diversity, colourfulness and natural beauty. It is a land worth visiting, exploring, tasting and experiencing.

There is a unique link here between the towns and nature, culture and sports activities, offers of relaxation and the adrenaline of exciting challenges. The entire region offers a lively beat and well-being throughout the year.

Podravje – la regione del Nord-est della Slovenia intorno al fiume Drava affascina gli ospiti con la sua diversità, colori e ricchezza della natura. Una regione degna di essere visitata, esplorata, assaggiata e provata!

Il legame specifico delle le sue città con la natura, la cultura e lo sport, offrono il relax, avventure piene di adrenalina, polso vivace della città e il benessere durante tutto l’anno.

Vineyards have been growing grapevines in this area since antiquity. This rich tradition is epitomized by the Old Vine. The Old Vine is over 400 years old and made it into the Guinness Book of World Records as the oldest noble vine in the world that still bears grapes. It grows in front of the Old Vine House in the historical centre of Maribor.

Below the streets of the city of Ptuj is the ancient Ptuj Wine Cellar where the oldest Slovenian wine is kept, Zlata trta (Golden Vine) vintage 1917.

Qui coltiviamo la vite già dall’antichità … La ricca tradizione della produzione del vino simbolicamente rappresentata dalla Vecchia vite che con i suoi più di 400 anni è la vite più antica del mondo, che cresce nella parte storica della città di Maribor.

La città di Ptuj si vanta della cantina del vino più antica della Slovenia, nella quale è conservato il vino più antico, del 1917.

Current wine and culinary dishes consist of premium white wines and traditional dishes. Culinary offerings such as Styrian sour soup, cured meat – Prleska Tünka – and Gibanica. A specialty of the province is certainly pumpkin seed oil, which has a wide range of culinary uses.

This is a landscape home to copious amounts of preserved castles and mansions. Among them the mighty castle of Ptuj certainly stands out; watching over the oldest city in Slovenia. Just as the vines from Pyramid Hill among the ruins of the old Maribor castle watches over Maribor. Inside Ptuj castle is one of the most visited museum collections in all of Slovenia.

L’offerta di vini e l’offerta gastronomica attuale è basata sui vini bianchi pregiati e di qualità e piatti tradizionali, tra quali “kisla juha” - la zuppa acida della Stiria, “meso iz tunke” - carne affumicata conservata in paté e »gibanica” - dolce tipico. Una delle specificità di questa regione è sicuramente rappresentata dall’uso dell’olio di semi di zucca nella gastronomia.

Un paese di numerosi castelli e palazzi conservati, tra questi si distingue il castello di Ptuj con le collezioni museali più visitate della Slovenia - il castello che veglia sulla città più antica della Slovenia, proprio come la collina di Piramida che con i suoi vigneti e i resti del castello veglia sulla città di Maribor.

Here a number of well-attended festivals that take place throughout the year find their place. The prestigious title of European Capital of Culture in 2012 was the confirmation of successful and high-quality cultural experiences in this area.This area, formed by the link of the town with nature, and culture with sport, offers guests a relaxing and

lively pulse throughout the year. There are many cycling and hiking trails, water sports, adrenaline and adventure parks, mountain biking, and thermal experiences... that are inviting you! Pohorje definitely is the largest recreational centre in Slovenia with a rich offering of winter joy for both beginners as well as more experienced lovers of skiing.

In questa regione durante tutto l’anno vengono organizzati diversi festival molto bene frequentati. Il prestigioso titolo di Capitale europea della cultura nel 2012 è stata la conferma degli avvenimenti culturali di qualità nella regione. Questa regione, specifica per l’ottimo legame tra le città e la natura, cultura e sport, offre agli ospiti il relax e il polso

vivace delle città durante tutto l’anno. I numerosi sentieri ciclistici e percorsi per trekking, sport acquatici parchi di adrenalina e avventure, mountain bike, parchi termali … invitano!
