A message from the Chief
As Police Chief of the
Arvin Police Depart-
ment, it is an honor to
lead a cadre of profes-
sional men and wom-
en who strive to im-
prove the quality of
life of our citizens.
Addressing crime
concerns, providing aid to victims, and main-
taining a presence in the community remain our
core responsibilities; however, we believe there
is so much more that adds to the quality of our
policing efforts. As a department, we are com-
mitted to community partnerships, respecting
diversity, and demonstrating empathy.
These are exciting times for the Arvin Police
Department. Currently, a concerted effort is
being made to recruit new police officers and
dispatchers. We will also be creating a strategy
that embraces the community policing philoso-
phy and addresses quality of life issues in our
community. Community policing involves organ-
izational transformation, community partner-
ships, and problem solving. This type of policing
requires a solid commitment to engagement at
multiple levels with the citizens of Arvin, and
can be pivotal in making Arvin an even better
place to live.
With a supportive community and City Council, I
feel privileged to have the opportunity to serve
the people of Arvin and its citizens. Add to the
equation a quality police force, dedicated City
employees, and dedicated community partners,
and I feel a great sense of pride and gratitude to
be affiliated with such an outstanding organiza-
tion. If you are ever in the area and would like
to learn more about the department or our
services, please feel free to contact me.
