FOR FEE DISCUSSION - WORK SESSION Additional consideration relevant to this recommended policy: Assign a $400 Curb Maintenance Fee to each Building Permit application for a new single-family-detached home to fund the expected amount of curb restoration associated with single-family-detached home builds. See attachment for data supporting implementation of $400 fee. Recommended Policy – Regular Meeting : For Building Permit applications for new single-family-detached homes, Permit Review Staff and Land Development Inspectors will review submitted plans and field conditions to determine, on a “case-by-case” basis if existing conditions warrant curb restoration in order to address an existing functional issue, such as drainage. Public Works shall restore curb where review reveals curb restoration is warranted, preferably prior to the issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy for the subject site. Regardless of staff determinations, the Builder shall be responsible for restoring any curb that the Builder has impacted.
