Fire Prevention Open HouseOctober 31st from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
at the Central Fire Station on Main Street
The Bangor Fire Department is hosting our annual Fire Prevention Open House on October31st at the Central Fire Station on Main Street from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Since the open housewill fall on Halloween weve adopted the theme of Keeping Warm This Winter Shouldnt BeScary and as such were encouraging children to come in costume . . . think of it as awarm-up to the festivities planned for later that night. Were giving away several free doorprizes, including a ride to school in a fire engine for one lucky Bangor student. While theheating oil prices may not be as high as last year, interest in safe and efficient heatingcontinues to remain high (thanks in no small part to the energy tax credit) and so we are
inviting local business representatives to set up displays on heating with woodstoves, pelletstoves, propane, natural gas, heating oil, electric space heaters and heat pumps. Activitiesand demonstrations are planned throughout the day . . . we encourage folks to stop by andcheck us out.Return
