In observance of Veterans Day, City Offices will be closed on Wednesday, November 11 th . November 16th, City Crews will begin trimming tree branches that overhang the street to a minimum height of 13 feet on residential streets and 14 feet on major arterial streets and designated through streets. This notice provides property owners an opportunity to trim back branches overhanging the right of way in front of their property if you prefer to have a shape other than a vertical line upwards from the back of the curb. Restrooms & Water Fountains Closing for Season City crews will be winterizing restrooms and water fountains on November 9 th . Restrooms will be closed until Spring 2021. Playgrounds and shelters remain open for public use.

Here comes Santa Claus, here comes Santa

Claus, right now Main Street. On Dec. 12th,

Santa Claus will be coming to the town of

Platte City. Residents will have the

opportunity to view Santa right from the

comfort of their home!

Further information will be available in the

December Newsletter and on the City’s

Facebook page.

The City of Platte City and Platte County Parks and Recreation will pay

tribute to all who served and fought for our nation by hosting a Virtual

Veterans Day 5K.

Participants can run, walk or roll from any location they choose

between November 1st—15th. Participants will receive a free t-shirt

(while supplies last) mailed to their door. For more information, visit the
