Problems

Problem 1

Given: The segments of the first chord= 6cm and 3 cm.

One segment of the second chord= 2cm

Required: length of the remaining

Figure:

Required: length of the remaining segment

Problem 2

Required: Area of the circle

Figure:

Problem 3

Given: radius is 20 cm

Required: Areashadedor area enclosed by the three circles but outside each of the three circles

Figure:

Problem 4

Given: a triangle formed by the three center whose sides are 16 cm, 20 cm and 24 cm

Required: area of the smallest and the biggest circle

Figure:

AB = πr32

AB = π(14)2

AB = 615.75 cm2

Solution:Equations: R1 + R2 = 16 ~ 1R1 + R3 = 20 ~ 2R2 + R3 = 24 ~ 3

Eq. 3 & 4 R2 + R3 = 24

+ R2 - R3 = -42R2 = 20R2 = 10cm As = πr1

AS = π(6)2

As = 113.09 cm2Eq. 1 & 2 R1 + R2 = 16

+ - R1 - R3 = 20R2 - R3 = -4

10 - R3 = -4R3 = 14cm

R1 + 10 = 16R1 = 6cm

Problem 5

Given: angle - 40 ̊radius – 20 cm

Required: AreaRCP
