To schedule a Baptism, please contact the rectory for an

initial meeting and a parent preparation session.

Marriage

Please call the rectory at least six months in advance.

Couples meet with the priest for an initial pastoral

conversation before a wedding date can be set. Please do

not make other plans until a date has been confirmed with

your parish.

We are happy to visit with the homebound. If you or a

loved one would like a home visit, Holy Communion or

If you are new to our parish or if you have been away from the practice of the faith, we extend a warm welcome and hope you feel at home here. Our parish is nourished by your presence today. We invite you to introduce yourself to the priest or deacon after Mass so that we can greet you. We hope you will make Annunciation Parish YOUR parish.

All children are welcome to be baptized in the Catholic Church. It does not matter if the parents are single or married outside the Catholic Church. ALL CHILDREN no matter what, are welcome to the baptism of the Lord, as long as they will be raised Catholic. Annunciation Parish usually offers baptisms on the first and third Sundays. In addition to being your pastor, I also serve as the Minister of Priests for the

Archdiocese. At times, I have found myself overwhelmed by both positions. I am happy

to announce, Deacon Jim Tanguay has agreed to minister with us on a full time basis

as our Pastoral Associate. Deacon Jim will assist me in the day-to-day operations of

the parish. I know you will join me in welcoming Deacon Jim to this position, and I

look forward to working with him.

MASSES OF REPARATION FOR CLERGY SEXUAL ABUSE

Archbishop Leonard P. Blair has announced three Masses of Reparation to be offered in

churches throughout the Archdiocese for the sins of clergy sexual abuse. Prayer and

acts of reparation to God for these crimes and sins within our Church are critically

important in conjunction with our current safe environment efforts. Everyone is invited

to participate in these Masses as these sins have wounded us all.

This year's Men's Weekend Retreat will focus on Pope Francis' Apostolic Exhortation, Gaudete

Et Exsultate, Rejoice And Be Glad, On The Call To Holiness in Today's World in which he

encourages Christians, "Do not be afraid to set your sights higher, to allow yourself to be loved

and liberated by God. Do not be afraid to let yourself be guided by the Holy Spirit. Holiness

does not make you less human since it is an encounter between your weakness and the power

of God's grace. For in the words of León Bloy, when all is said and done, 'the only great tragedy

in life, is not to become a saint'. Participants will discern a deeper understanding of the "call to
