October 6, 2013 Twenty-seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time

Habakkuk 1:2-3;2:2-4 How long, Lord, will you make me

witness misery?

Psalm 95 “If today you hear his voice, harden not your hearts”

2Timothy 1:6-8,13-14 Guard the rich deposit of faith

you were given.

Luke 17:5-10 When you have done everything for then

kingdom, do more.

As we gather today at the invitation of our loving

God, our focus is on faith – how much we have, what

it enables us to do in God’s name. Sometimes it is

difficult for us to maintain our faith when so much of

the world around us seems to deny what we believe.

Yet we hear again today that even the smallest

amount of faith can accomplish great things. Let us

resolve today, then, to look for those instances

when someone’s faith is fruitful, and allow those

occasions to nourish our own faith.

We welcome our visitors today. We hope you have been fed in body and spirit. If you are Catholic and plan to make Francis de Sales your home, please see an usher or greeter for registration information. If you are not Catholic and would like to learn more, please call the office at 725-2776 to discuss our RCIA program.
