As most of you know, my book, LAST PRIEST STANDING and other stories, was published last year by Lambing Press. It has been selling on amazon.com as well as lambingpress.com, and copies have been purchased overseas in England, France, Germany and Australia. Local Catholic book stores have been selling LPS for the past several months. The internet sales enable us to reach people beyond our region and across the United States. A kindle version of the book has been made available on-line for the past several

months and those sales, too, are going well. Recently, one of the stories from the book has become available in an audio version via WAOB radio in Latrobe, PA. “Fields of Grace” is their feature presentation for the month of September. You can listen to the recording of this story by clicking on the banner on the front page of their website: http://waobaudiotheatre.org/. I’m anticipating the completion of the audio version of LPS this Fall for eventual sale on-line, too. Last month, LPS receive another favorable review in Our Sunday Visitor newspaper. OSV is the largest circulation Catholic weekly paper in the U.S. and Bob Lockwood’s syndicate article helped boost sales across the country. This Fall, we are anticipating three more reviews of the book in literary and religious journals. Each positive review helps promote the book, along with some well-placed advertisements by the publishing company. I’ve learned a lot about the Catholic publishing world over the past year, or so. But, still, one of the best promotions for LPS has been personal recommendations from one person to the next. Two different book clubs rooted in our parish read LPS this summer and I had the opportunity to discuss the book with them over a couple of evenings. If your are uncertain if you would enjoy fictional stories about the seven sacraments, the priesthood and the Church, you might want to listen to the recording of me reading “Fields of Grace” on WAOB radio’s audio theatre during the month of September.
