    In every time and in every place, God is with us.

  • * HYMN 356 Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing NETTLETON

    * CALL TO CONFESSION LYN COOPER TOMASZEWSKI

    * CORPORATE PRAYER OF CONFESSION

    Loving God, we confess it is hard to be your people. You call us to be the church, to

    continue the mission of Jesus Christ in our world. Yet there are times when our

    greatest sin is what we fail to do. For those times when we have not spoken up; when

    we have not acted; when we have not responded, forgive us. When we are apathetic,

    kindle in us passion for your work. When we are reticent, give us courage to name

    what is wrong. When we have doubt, give us confidence to do what is hard. Send us

    out to be your people. Forgive us as we silently confess our sins.

    * PRIVATE CONFESSION OF SIN (in silence)
