Welcome to my Christian book editing site, and thank you for considering me for your next book. I hope you’re having a blessed day. My name is Donna Ferrier, and I’ve been a Christian for 25 years and an editor for 24 of those years.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Communications, and spent the first 15 years of my publishing career working for different companies. I’ve now been a full-time freelance editor for the past nine years. Being a born-again Christian, I’ve worked with many Christian clients and edited numerous Christian books.

I came to know Jesus Christ as my personal LORD and Savior on October 30, 1988. Unlike most Christians, I did not grow up in the church. In fact, to my knowledge, neither of my parents were saved. We lived pretty well economically, even though my father was an alcoholic. My childhood had a fair amount of a “back and forth” in it, meaning my mother and I sometimes left the house on evenings when my dad went into one of his drunken rages, and then came home the next morning. When I was 13 we left for two weeks. When I was 19 we left for three years.

If your manuscript is more than 20,000 words, I will provide you with a free editing sample using the first five of your double-spaced pages. That way you can see how I will edit your work. Assuming you’re satisfied with the editing and want to proceed further, we can then get started on your job. Or you can skip the sample, and I’ll just give you the quote.

So, if your manuscript is more than 20,000 words, I will provide you with a free editing sample of your first five double-spaced pages. Please do not leave samples as a “comment” on my site. They will be deleted. People who do this usually operate anonymously and never even attempt a conversation with me. I do not send samples into internet oblivion. If you contact me via email, however, and attach the sample to your email, I will be more than happy to edit it for you.
